CELEBRITY COUPLE AKIM AND STACY “BREAKS” NEW GROUND WITH KITKAT

Malaysia's Number 1 chocolate brand unveiled a brand new commercial featuring the duo as part of its brand new ‘Jalan-Jalan Breakers’ campaign

PETALING JAYA, MAY 27 - Nestlé () Berhad today announced singers and celebrity couple Afiq Hakim Ahmad (Akim) and Ummu Syaikhah Stacy Anam (Stacy) as the Nestlé KitKat’s new Malaysian ambassadors, or ‘breakers’, while also unveiling an exciting new TV commercial for the brand.

The announcement was made during an official press conference held at Menara Surian, the company’s headquarters, with Akim and Stacy present during the event. The duo, who tied the knot in February this year, are both alumni of hit reality show Akademi Fantasia (Stacy emerged champion in the show’s sixth season) and enjoy large followings on their social media platforms. Akim is also a mentor for this year’s new singing reality show, Mentor Milenia.

KitKat believes that their collaboration with this modern and lively celebrity couple will bring a smile to their fan’s faces and music to their ears, with the promise of an upcoming ‘KitKat song from the two already getting fans talking.

Postings on KitKat Malaysia’s facebook page revealing them as KitKat‘s new breakers have drawn close to 200,000 likes and reactions since the big reveal last week.

Following the unveiling of its new TV commercial, KitKat announced that the ad will be aired on all major TV channels, while fans can look forward to special radio ads featuring Akim and Stacy and a number of exciting campaigns to be revealed in the coming months. The official website, www.kitkat.com.my, will also feature fun, interactive activities featuring the ambassadors.
