MEMBERSHIP OVERVIEW THE SONOMA VALLEY VINTNERS & GROWERS ALLIANCE

The Sonoma Valley Vintners & Growers Alliance (SVVGA) comprises hundreds of member wineries and grape growers as well as associate members who work together to promote awareness of the Sonoma Valley and its extraordinary and grapes, its incomparable climate, and its richly diverse terrain and terroir.

The organization was formed in 1992 by merging the Sonoma Valley Vintners Association and the Sonoma Valley Grape Growers Association. By becoming a member you contribute to a collective pool of resources that allows the SVVGA to build awareness of and appreciation for the Sonoma Valley region. THE LOGO

• The Sonoma Valley Wine logo was designed to embody several of the region’s most compelling and memorable attributes. The historical reference dates back to the town of Sonoma in 1846, drawing on California’s state flag and the original Bear Flag Revolt.

• The peak supporting the bear symbolizes the mountains that bring stunning natural beauty and an exceptional climate for winegrowing. Rising behind the mountain is a crescent representative of The Valley of The Moon, a term that has long been used to describe Sonoma Valley.
