The proposed solution is for advanced rail crossing signalization and realignment of the trail so that it crosses the rails at a perpendicular angle. This project is for the design, ROW, and construction of advanced signalization and realignment of Centennial Trail. This corridor project will include two general-purpose travel lanes, two drop lanes for protected on-street parking and dedicated bike lanes, a center median, sidewalks, and enhanced bus stops. Work will also include location and identification of existing water/sewer utilities, and design of LID drainage facilities. The work will entail outreach with the community; we need their feedback to make this not only a corridor project, but a Smokey Point neighborhood project as well. As the project develops, ROW needs and property valuations will be developed through independent analysis.
