The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects by Edward J. Ruppelt former head of the Air Force investigation code-named "Project Blue Book," that Studied UFOs beginning in the 1947 A United States Historical Document This is the original evidence that proves conclusively that the United States Government has engaged in an ET and UFO coverup since June 24, 1947 until the present. Introduction by Drunvalo Melchizedek Captain Edward J. Ruppelt not only was the head of the United States Air Force’s secret Project Blue Book that studied UFOs, but he also was the head of the Air Force’s earlier and similar project named "Project Grudge." This man knew more about UFOs than probably any other person alive, at least in the United States. His credibility on this subject was such that the President of the United States would ask for and sincerely listen to his advice if UFOs became an issue; and, according to Captain Ruppelt, they definitely did become an issue in the late 1940s. This historical document reads like modern science fiction, but it isn’t. It’s real. And what makes this document so brilliant and valuable is that it was authored by a man who was there in the very beginning of this phenomenon. On a single day, June 24, 1947, UFOs began appearing all over the United States, mostly over military bases and installations. And in the coming years, up through 1951, there were 45,000 sightings reported to Captain Ruppelt’s Project Blue Book and the two similar projects before: Project Grudge and Project Sign. Captain Ruppelt says that of these 45,000 UFO sightings, Project Blue Book carefully selected 750 to study in intense detail. What they found is stunning, and it becomes clear why our government wanted to hide this knowledge from us. The United States found itself in the midst of an apparent "invasion" from a force that was far superior technologically to ourselves — and they knew not where this invasion was coming from. Remember, this is not science fiction. This really happened — though it is obviously true that, for whatever reason, our government made a decision to completely hide this information from the American people and the rest of the world. To put these revelations into perspective, as he mentions in the book, Captain Ruppelt himself could not tell the whole truth. There were events so secret that he could not talk about them, including the Roswell, New Mexico, and Cave Creek, Arizona, UFO crashes. Captain Ruppelt reports that most of the 750 UFO sightings studied by Project Blue Book were made over military bases, where high-level military personnel were on the ground witnessing as a UFO and an Air Force F-94 or F-86 followed directly behind; where radar recorded as two blimps passed by on the radar screen; and, finally, where pilots of the F- 94s or F-86s were right behind the UFO, moving with it, keeping it in visual sight. What more proof could we ask for, outside of having the ETs land and saying hello? Project Blue Book’s chief also reported that when the pilot of the F-94 locked on the UFO with his radar, the UFO would instantly disappear — literally — then reappear either directly behind the F-94 or miles in front of it. As you will read, the UFOs observed were of five main types: Flying Saucer, Triangular, Cigar, Balls of Light, and Balls of Flame. The Air Force's conclusion after about four years of dramatic study was that this phenomenon was not the work of the Russians, not the United States — not anyone from this planet. Mr. Ruppelt, after he became a civilian, wrote this report to the American public and then shortly died at the age of only 35. And for some reason, every copy of this book then disappeared from book stores and libraries around the world. Even the Library of Congress’s copy is unavailable. A year and a half ago, we hired an antique book dealer, an expert on finding old books, to locate a copy of this book, but after hunting for about six weeks, he was unable to do so. A recent Internet search reveals, however, that original copies of this book are now emerging around the world. To me, this can mean only one thing: Those in power are preparing to allow the truth to come forth. I feel sure that Dr. Steven Greer's Disclosure Project has had a great impact on the government — and now Steven Spielberg's 20-hour serial TV movie Taken, still airing as this is written, will accelerate matters even more. (Also, you may wish to view the documentary "A Strange Harvest," by Linda Howe, which contains even more revelations regarding these matters.) However, years ago — even when copies of Ruppelt's book were not available — a copy mysteriously appeared in my home. And now, thanks to the Internet, you will be able to read the entire text online. I believe you will find this document amazing. Certainly, reading it will solidify for you the reality of UFOs and the truth that they really are here on Earth now. Please understand that this is not something for us to be afraid of. This phenomenon is the beginning of humanity's release from "cosmic quarantine." First, we discover the truth. Then, we change our mind/body/heart/spirit to fit the new paradigm. We are being reintroduced to our true selves — and our true destiny. Ruppelt was chief of the United States Air Force’s Project Blue Book, an operation of the Air Technical Intelligence Center. Since 1953 the author has been in close contact with the present project staff and recently made a trip across the country to check current developments, Mr. Ruppelt is now a research engineer for the Northrop Aircraft Company. FOREWORD This is a book about unidentified flying objects — UFO's — flying saucers." It is actually more than a book; it is a report because it is the first time that anyone, either military or civilian, has brought together in one document all the facts about this fascinating subject. With the exception of the style, this report is written exactly the way I would have written it had I been officially asked to do so while I was chief of the Air Force's project for investigating UFO reports — Project Blue Book. In many instances I have left out the names of the people who reported seeing UFO's, or the names of certain people who were associated with the project, just as I would have done in an official report. For the same reason I have changed the locale in which some of the UFO sightings occurred. This is especially true in CHAPTER FIFTEEN, the story of how some of our atomic scientists detected radiation whenever UFO's were reported near their "UFO detection stations." This policy of not identifying the "source," to borrow a term from military intelligence, is insisted on by the Air Force so that the people who have co- operated with them will not get any unwanted publicity. Names are considered to be "classified information." But the greatest care has been taken to make sure that the omission of names and changes in locale has in no way altered the basic facts because this report is based on the facts — all of the facts — nothing of significance has been left out. It was only after considerable deliberation that I put this report together, because it had to be told accurately, with no holds barred. I finally decided to do it for two reasons. First, there is world-wide interest in flying saucers; people want to know the facts. But more often than not these facts have been obscured by secrecy and confusion, a situation that has led to wild speculation on one end of the scale and an almost dangerously blasé' attitude on the other. It is only when all of the facts are laid out that a correct evaluation can be made. Second, after spending two years investigating and analyzing UFO reports, after talking to the people who have seen UFO's — industrialists, pilots, engineers, generals, and just the plain man-on-the-street, and after discussing the subject with many very capable scientists, I felt that I was in a position to be able to put together the complete account of the Air Force's struggle with the flying saucer. The report has been difficult to write because it involves something that doesn't officially exist. It is well known that ever since the first flying saucer was reported in June 1947 the Air Force has officially said that there is no proof that such a thing as an interplanetary spaceship exists. But what is not well known is that this conclusion is far from being unanimous among the military and their scientific advisers because of the one word, proof; so the UFO investigations continue. The hassle over the word "proof" boils down to one question: What constitutes proof? Does a UFO have to land at the River Entrance to the Pentagon, near the Joint Chiefs of Staff offices? Or is it proof when a ground radar station detects a UFO, sends a jet to intercept it, the jet pilot sees it, and locks on with his radar, only to have the UFO streak away at a phenomenal speed? Is it proof when a jet pilot fires at a UFO and sticks to his story even under the threat of court-martial? Does this constitute proof? The at times hotly debated answer to this question may be the answer to the question, "Do the UFO's really exist?" I'll give you the facts — all of the facts — you decide.
