• The restaurant has long been a popular gathering place in Pipersville. In the early 1960’s it was Hartung’s Supper Club for 17 years. Following that it was McKenna’s Landing for 3-1/2 years. In 1982 the current owner’s parents bought the restaurant and it was Donny’s Supper Club for 22 years. The restaurant was special to them because Donny proposed to his wife at this very bar years before they owned it! They lived in the apartment attached to the restaurant, added an in-ground pool for relaxation, and raised their daughter here. During the years it was Donny’s Supper Club, locals and out-of-towners alike became loyal guests and extended family.
• In 2004 the restaurant was sold to a buyer who took it in a new direction. In 2007 it became available and Donny’s daughter, Jaci, and her husband Lorn bought it. They brought back the welcoming, friendly atmosphere and the menu of favorites Jaci’s father created as chef, including the popular Friday night fish fry that brings together friends and family. They also brought back their own homemade Old Fashioned mix.
