This subfennily is divided inte two tribes, Arctiini and Spilosomini, nnd the fomier is constituted i'rom two groups arid the lattcrfrom three groups based un the pupa] characters. The pupae of some genera of the Spitarctia group excepting Chionarctia are indistinguishable, and some gencra are tentatively corn- bLned with thc genus Lem},ra in this paper. Key words Arctlidae.
