In Month of January, new year and sankranti was celebrated. On new year day Balaji abhisheka was performed, more than thousand devotes visited temple, had lord balaji blessings and took maha prasadam made by devotes. Whole day temple was open. On January 16, Devotees at Balaji Temple celebrated the Punyaradhana of Dr. Padmabhusanna Balagangadharnath Swamij and Makara Sankarathi. Students of Desika School recited Sahasranam, while devotees joined in. Jagadguru Pujyashri Narayananada Puri Swamiji, the Peethathibathi of Balaji presided over the recitation and distributed 2015-16 graduation awards to qualifying students. Swamiji offered it to the deities and it was distributed to devotees. Swamiji performed the Aarti and nivedhanam of the potluck food prepared by participants. Everyone had a delicious feast.
