NAIDOC Week Celebrations Congratulations Lilly, who competed Students are encouraged to wear red, black or yellow on Monday 2 July at the Cross Country to celebrate NAIDOC Week. NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Carnival in each July to celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. As part of our celebrations, we will also be taking part in a range of activities focused on the the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. ... And There’s The Buzzer We had our final basketball session on Wednesday. We have had so much fun over the last few weeks learning new tricks and skills, which have helped us tobecome better players. A big thank you to Coach Hellen Scott who made these session so much fun! 3D Prinitng On Monday 18 June, we had the opportunity to experience 3D printing, Upcoming Events thanks to the Greater Hume Regional Library. We had so much fun Friday 29 June learning about the process and also getting the opportunity to print a few Reports home to parents things. Check out our pictures! Friday 6 July Writing Workshop Last Day of Term 2 Last Tuesday all our students attended a Writing Workshop at Brocklesby Public School. Students took part in a range of Literacy SCHOOL HOLIDAYS based activities that aim towards making them better writers. It was Monday 23 July great to see all our students behaving and acting as great ambassadors Staff Development Day for our school. Tuesday 24 July SRPSSA Athletics Carnival First Day of Term 3 Congratulations to Lilly, Hannah, Jai, Harry and Cody who were selected to represent the Walbundrie Small Schools Network at the SRPSSA Athletics Carnival that was held on Wednesday 27 June at Alexandra Park. What a great effort! Making the Grade Semester 1 Reports went home to parents today. 3D Printing is a process of turning a whole object into thousands of tiny little slices, then making it from the bottom-up, slice by slice. Those tiny layers stick together to form a solid object. Each layer can be very complex, meaning 3D printers can create moving parts like hinges and wheels as part of the same object.

Writing Workshop

We joined the Walbundrie Small Schools Network at Brocklesby Public School for a series of Literacy based workshops on Tuesday 19 May. We had the opportunity to work with author Craig Dent, and illustrator, Lauren. We practised writing a mini book and illustrated it as well.
