Some felt this was so. Book Club But all of us felt that the earth is and will be under great stress by human’s actions. In February we discussed ‘The Gargoyle’ but no-one really enjoyed it. The April meeting will be on the Tuesday 23rd April also at Betty’s. The choice is a novel by Douglas Reeman. We had a lazy walk For more information please contact Betty from to

Betty on a lovely clear summer day. We Crafty Crafters were impressed with the February saw us again working on something of our own as there were some nearly resurfaced path members who had said they wouldn't be able to be there. It therefore made sense for down to Tresaith to a us not to try something new. We had knitting, ribbon embroidery, soft toy making and welcome coffee - sitting on the terrace in the box making all on the go with lots of natter, and refreshments to keep us going. sun. Though there was This month’s meeting will be at Barbara's in Cenarth on Wednesday 13th March and a few stops to admire we will have a visitor, Holly, demonstrating and teaching us the basics of tatting, a the view when climbing form of lace making. Holly has said that she will bring along some shuttles and thread back up the path. for us to use so there should be no need to buy anything, unless you want to. If you want to buy your own, you will need a tatting shuttle which I think are available from The March Strollers walk will be on Friday 29th March at 10.30am. The walk will take Carol in Cardigan market and possibly the needlework shop in Newcastle Emlyn, place around Capel Dewi near Llandysul. Quite a bit of the route is on minor roads, though I haven't asked there yet. For thread, I would suggest crochet cotton. bridleways, and some fields with stiles.

Ruth Please meet in the car park, on the bottom road, in Llandysul by 10.30am and we will then go on in a minimal number of cars to Capel Dewi where we will park in the Creative Writing church hall car park. February’s session of Creative Writing welcomed a new scribe, who added new spice, and we had another enjoyable session. We had to give our initial thoughts on a picture Rock Woollen Mill is in Capel Dewi and we may be able to arrange a visit there if we were given, unusually for us there were some similar themes . . . and as usual we people are interested. We can then return to Llandysul for lunch in The Porth. had some very funny thoughts! Please can you let Jim or Hazel know if you will be strolling or not. Unfortunately March’s session is cancelled, so the next meeting will be Thursday 11th Jim & Hazel April, 10.45am at Carol’s. Ali Welsh Group

We will return to ‘How we make Our next meeting will be at Vicky’s in Capel Iwan on Tuesday 5th March at 10.30am. decisions’ at a future date. Jim Vicky 5 6 Wine Appreciation We enjoyed a taste of Italy at the meeting in February. Nine members tasted 2 whites and 3 reds which were all from the east coast regions of Italy. All scored well on our tasting notes scoring system and we decided that maybe we would try more Italian wines in the future. They were all very palatable. March’s meeting will be at John and Janet Piggott’s house in Horeb on Thursday 21st All Annual Conference and Celebration March at 7.00pm. We will be tasting our favourite wines under £7.50! At future meetings we will be revisiting Italy and looking at the west coast and Sicilian wines and then Italian Fizz. We hope to have a barbecue in the summer months and then will try and get another visit to the vineyard at Cwmpengraig. If you are interested in joining us please contact Hazel. Hazel
