More like a high school essay than a book...By CustomerI am writing this more so people know what to expect.For starters, I wouldn't call this a book. It read the whole thing in a sitting in maybe 45 minutes, and I am not a fast reader. I would say, this would be more like an essay or a long magazine article.Even though this presents some interesting ideas, they are solely the reflection of one person's opinion. It's just what one ex-Metallica fan, now-a-days Megadeth fan thinks of how things went. And it's fine, but still just his opinion. Many times, he makes references to events without mentioning what really happened. For example, at one point he says something like "How could they have had those audition tapes with them on the way to NYC, if thy hadn't planned the whole thing already", while talking about Hetfield and Ulrich listening to audition tapes on the way to NYC before they fired Mustaine when they arrived. I am very familiar with Metallica's and Mustaine's story, and I have no idea what tapes he is talking about, he didn't explain further. So, my point is, there are many comments and opinions on things without really explaining what he is talking about.I would have expected some comments about the actual music and why one is better than the other, just than saying "Mustaine is better because he has his hand in two out of the first four Metallica CD's, which are the good ones" . No comment about techniques, or riffs used, or the contrast of this and that... so I think objectivity is really lacking in this book.I didn't like the use of quasi-insults... like saying "the Metallica twins"... it's just not very objective again.The ideas are very repetitive, like the number of albums each has put out and how many albums Mustaine had his hand on.There are typos and errors throughout the whole "book", almost in every page. I find it hard to believe that someone dares to publish something they wrote when they don't seem to know the difference between "they are" and "their" and many other similar mistakes.All in all, I would just spend some dollars more and read a real book and not this "high school essay". There are books out there with a lot more info, substance and objectivity. This is too skewed for my taste.
