2019 BUSINESS CHAMPIONS

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry is proud to honor the following lawmakers as Business Champions during the 2019 Legislative Session. Their work is helping build a better business climate to grow our economy, help our employers and attract investment opportunities to our state.

49th out of 50 states: Missouri continues to be ranked next to last for our state’s legal climate by the U.S. Chamber’s Institute for Legal Reform. The General Assembly worked to begin addressing this by reforming Missouri’s joinder and venue laws. (Senate Bill 7, Sen. , Rep. )

$300 million will be invested to repair and replace 250 bridges across the state of Missouri, an effort that helped trigger $80 million in federal funding to replace the I-70 Rocheport bridge. (Senate Concurrent Resolution 14, Sen. , Rep. )

17,000 Missouri adult learners will be able to pursue education and training for high demand industries through the new Fast Track program. (Senate Bill 68, Sen. Lincoln Hough, Rep. ) Missouri House of Representatives
