KUMEROA-HOPELANDS SCHOOL 11 MAY 2016 NEWSLETTER Last Friday we had a fundraising appeal for the Westpac Chopper. We had a yellow and red themed day. We raised $54.60. Week 2, Term 2, 2016.

Tēnā koutou,

We have had a fantastic start to Term 2 here at School. As I visit the different classes I am always impressed with how engaged and focused the students are. I am also really proud of how well children at KHS interact with one another at break times. We certainly have a great group of students here at school!

A reminder that time is running out if you are wanting to be considered for the Board of Trustees. Being a board member can be a very rewarding job. If you would like to find out more information about what's involved please have a chat to one of the current board members. Nomination forms, that were sent home last week, will need to be returned to the school office by noon on Friday 20th May 2016.

Thank you to all those people who have returned their Your Thoughts 16 Health and Physical Education surveys. They make for interesting reading and once the results have been collated we will give you some feedback on these. If you haven't returned yours yet, could you please return it to the office as soon as possible. Alternatively, if it is easier for you to give feedback online, you can do that via the Your Thoughts 2016 tab on the school website.

I look forward to catching up with you at the school working bee on Sunday. Don't forget that we will be having a shared lunch, so please bring a plate. Have an awesome week.

Ngā mihi nui,

Simon.
