And so it went as the Sooners, playing for the fi rst time during the season with the nation’s No. 1 ranking, fl attened Baylor, 49-17, in the Big 12 opener for both teams. The Sooners scored on their fi rst four possessions and their 28 fi rst-quarter points tied for their second-highest one-quarter scoring total by OU against a Big 12 foe.
