Le Coq Arena, Tallinn Match background Baltic neighbours Estonia and Lithuania meet again in Group E with their chances of making it to the finals of UEFA EURO 2016 seemingly dwindling. Previous meetings • Saulius Mikoliūnas scored the only goal when Lithuania got the better of Estonia in their opening Group E encounter in October 2014. • The sides have been remarkably closely matched in their 47 meetings to date, with Estonia's record reading W19 D8 L20 (W8 D4 L8 in Estonia). • Lithuania lost 5-0 at home to Estonia in their first international fixture, on 24 June 1923. In the nations' 26 encounters before the advent of the Soviet Union, Lithuania's record was W7 D4 L15. Their record since both countries regained independence is W12 D4 L3. • In terms of competitive fixtures (all UEFA European Championship qualifiers) Estonia's record amounts to W1 D0 L4 (W0 D0 L2 in Estonia). Disciplinary • Estonia midfielder Aleksandr Dmitrijev and forward Sergei Zenjov are both a booking away from a suspension. • Lithuania duo Donatas Kazlauskas and Gratas Sirgėdas miss out through suspension. Karolis Chvedukas is a yellow card away from a one-game ban. Form guide • Prior to their 2-0 home victory over San Marino last time out, Estonia had not scored in four Group E outings. • Having kicked off with back-to-back wins, Lithuania have lost their last four Group E games, scoring just once in the process. Trivia and links • Lithuania defender Tadas Kijanskas turns 30 the day after the Estonia trip. • Lithuania have won all eight of their matches against Estonia in UEFA age-group competitions. • In terms of UEFA club competition meetings, Lithuania have claimed five wins to Estonia's one. Most recently, Estonian representatives FC Levadia Tallinn beat FC Ṡiauliai on away goals in the 2012/13 UEFA Europa League first qualifying round, going down 2-1 away following a 1-0 home success. 3 Estonia - Lithuania Saturday 5 September 2015 - 18.00CET (19.00 local time) Match press kit A.
