Thank you to those who have submitted your Attestation and Self Review documents which were due 30 November. If you have not yet done so, please send these as soon as possible. Remember that the original signed Attestation needs to be mailed to Tracey at C/o Wairarapa REAP, PO Box 442, Masterton. You can email your Self Review.

Your 2017 ACE report is due to Tracey by 24 January 2018. The overall report needs to be submitted to TEC by 31 March so it is important that you get report to Tracey no later than the 24th. It is also important that you use the template provided and ensure that all fields are completed.

Your 2017 IIP report is due to Tracey by 31 January 2018. The reporting template is attached to this newsletter. Along with the usual volume reporting, this year the report includes outcomes information. This was signalled at the October meeting. You are asked to report the following information:

All Sectors ECE and Schools ACE # and % of learners reporting # of children showing # Adults attaining a base the activity as relevant increased participation or qualification (e.g. license)

# and % of learners reporting success in learning # Adults enrolling in further

the activity as raising skills # of educators enhancing the learning (e.g. other ACE

# and % of learners reporting quality of their provision course or higher tertiary) confidence to apply learning # of whanau engaged in the # Adults advancing their learning process (for their career pathway (including children or themselves) individual pathway plans) # of partners collaborating to # Partners collaborating in meet learning needs meeting learning needs (alongside REAPs) (alongside REAPs)

The report also gives you the opportunity to provide qualitative information through narrative that demonstrates the positive impact our work in the community has made. This information is vital as it enables Tracey to use it when providing briefing information to Ministers, officials and other stakeholders. Please ensure you include this in your report.

The next Investment Plan (IIP) with the Ministry of Education (MoE) Firstly, apologies for the delay in getting finalised delivery information out to you all. The information you all provided at the October meetings about the local priorities identified by MoE Regional Directors was incorporated into our proposed contract along with a request for increased funding to pay for any additional delivery. This was submitted to the MoE on 31 October and the MoE officials have been working through this information.

We are still waiting for the MoE to finalise our contract details for 2018. We will let you know as soon as we hear from them.

Nominations for the REAP Aotearoa Board At the AGM in March, two current REAP Aotearoa Board members, Peter McNeur (staff representative) and Mark Chapman (governance representative) will be stepping down. As such we need to elect two new members – one staff representative and one governance representative - on to the Board at the AGM.

Nominations open on 19 January 2018 and close on 18 February 2018. Attached to this newsletter is the nomination form. Please consider who you might want to nominate for these two positions and send your nomination to Tracey by the closing date.

With the change in Government and Ministers, we have provided briefings to a number of Ministers and their Associates. We are currently working on briefings for Carmel Sepeloni – Minister for Social Development, and – Minister for Community and Voluntary Sector.
