Emergency response from Keppel Verolme The 366-metre long container vessel CMA CGM Alaska, owned by ship operator Claus-Peter Offen, turned to Keppel Verolme for urgent repairs after a collision. The collision had left CMA CGM Alaska with an indentation and a large hole on her starboard side. As a result, water flooded into the ballast tank.

Keppel Verolme, in the Netherlands, quickly set to work on fixing the vessel. It renewed 44 tonnes of steel and applied a complete paint job, all within 16 days. The project was completed on 2 November 2011. keppelite
