• Transit is the first priority for moving people. • Criteria links transit planning and land use planning. • Municipalities will develop and implement transportation demand management policies. • Municipalities will ensure that pedestrian and bicycle networks are integrated into transportation planning.

• Municipal Conformity • Providing technical analysis to support implementation of the Growth Plan • 110 municipalities bringing Official Plans into conformity with the Growth Plan • Most upper- and single-tier municipalities have met June 2009 conformity deadline • One-year extensions (June 2010) granted to most lower-tier municipalities • Aligning infrastructure funding • Leveraging real estate portfolio

• Nine projects selected out of over 50 projects. • Projects meet criteria on supporting walking and transit, being mixed use, and having high quality urban design. • Case studies are full-colour pdfs that: • list the relevant Growth Plan policies • describe transportation/transit and public realm and built form • include photos, maps, and statistics
