1.0 GEOLOGY AND EXPLORATION.

A. Briefly describe the topography, drainage pattern, vegetation, climate and rain fall data of the ML area: i) Topography: The ML area is a plain land with gentle slope towards South and South west. The maximum relief within the ML area is 4m with topographic elevation from 239 m MSL to + 235 m MSL. ii) Drainage Pattern: No streams are flowing through the ML area. There are no perennial water sources in and around the subject area. There is a non perennial stream (Seasonal run off stream) passing at a distance of 500m due south in NW to SE direction. However the surface rain water flows through the slopes of the

area and joins the seasonal nala (Peddavagu), located on SE side of the subject area. This seasonal water course flows from NW to SE direction. iii) Vegetation: The area does not have any worth vegetation except small bushes.

iv) Climate & Rainfall Data: The M.L. area belongs to tropical climate. The annual

rainfall of the area varies from 350 mm to 400 mm.

B. Brief descriptions of Regional Geology with reference to location of the applied area. Limestone, Shale and Quartzites of the Kurnool Group are exposed in Banaganapalli area, these are known as Narji formations. Tuffacious Limestone belonging to Narji Limestone of Kurnool Group, equivalent to Semri Series of Upper Vindhyans. The local Stratigraphic succession with which the Limestone associated is presented below: Nandyal Shale Vindhyans : Kurnool Group: Koilkuntla Limestone (Equivalent to Cuddapahs) Panyam Quartzite Owk Shale Narji Limestoi Banagana ------THRUST------Cuddapah Super Group

Of the above sequence, the Narji limestone attained a and spread over large area. It is extensively found between B^agaqapailf Panyam area. The Owk shale and other younger formations are expos

limestone. Page...6 In the ML area limestone occurs as horizontal to sub-horizontal tuffacious/ Powdery limestone below 0.5 - 1.50 m of soil cover or OB (Plate- IV). LOCAL GEOLOGY

The ML area is represented monotonously by a single formation Limestone (Tuffacious). The following Lithology is recorded.

S.No. Lithology Thickness (m)

1. Top Soil 0.1 m to 0.4 m 2. Weathered lime 0.4 m to 0.6 m 3. Powdery limestone (Tuffacious also known as 0.6 m to 8.0m (Average) chalk) 4. Siliceous Limestone

1. Soil: Fine grained loamy soil with an average thickness of/ layer of the ML area. 2. Weathered zone: The calcium mixed soil occurs between th^ the lime powder below.

3. Powdery limestone: White powdery limestone (an organic weathered grey limestone product also known as chalk occurs below 0.6m. This is evidenced by the exploratory pits made up to encountering siliceous limestone averaging 8.0m bgl. This limestone is powdery, porous and high in CaCo3 content. Detailed description of Geology of the applied lease area such as shape and size of the mineral/ore deposit, disposition various litho-units indicating structural features if any etc: The ML area and adjoining lands are mainly consisting of two main litho units i.e. Top soil on the top and Limestone (Tuffacious) at the bottom and

followed by Siliceous Limestone. The Limestone on the surface to a thickness of 0.2m

to 0.6m is weathered encompassing Soil and soil admixed with tuffaceous limestone and below which Tuffaceous Limestone exposed to depth of 8.0m. The tuffacious Limestone is a secondary formation of Calcium Bicarbonate Solutions, which were derived through the upstream from the Narji limestone and deposited at lower

levels by precipitation over Banaganapalli Quartzite. Due to secondary formation,

the structural features like strike and dip of the formation can't be measured for this type of Limestone. Ten trial pits were made in the area to know the thickness of the Limestone. It is noticed from trial pits that the limestone exposed to the surface is weathered to a thickness of 0.2m to 0.6m and the limestone is occurring below this

Page...7 weathered zone is in powdery form and it is fine grained in nature. This type of limestone is encountered up to 8.0m depth and the base rock encountered is

massive siliceous limestone. Limestone (Tuffaceous): This is the most important economic rock unit occurring in the subject area. It is also known as "Calc Tufa". Even though this unit is occurring from surface of the applied area the top 0.2- 0.6m is weathered. This Limestone is occurring in the form of powder, pebble & lumps at bottom in applied area. It is fine to medium grained, dull white in colour. This type of Limestone is consisting of high calcium and low silica. It is soft to medium hard in nature. D. (Copies of the experience Certificates enclosed as Annexure - VI) E. Details of prospecting/exploration already carried out: As the mine is fully developed with working pit covering the entire leasehold,

four trial pits of dimension lm X lm X lm have been carried out below the bottom level of the present working pit to probe for the existence of tuffacious limestone as

depicted on Plates-111 & IV. All the pits have shown occurrence of tuffacious

J. Reserves and Resources as per MEMC Rules 2015 with respect to the threshold value UNFC code for area considered for different categories of reserve/resources estimation may also be marked on geological cross sections: At the first instance the nature/ behavior of the ore body has been established by considering subsurface exposure of the Tuffaceous Limestone in the Trial pits both along and across the ML area. Based on the type area, mode of the occurrence, as defined vide Para no.l (E), the deposit can be considered sedimentary deposit and it is a stratified, strata bound tabular deposits of regular habit. Thus the deposit can be placed under Category I of MEMC Rules 2015 codification System. Further based on the detailed topographical survey, Geological mapping, results of exploration during the modification of approved mining plan, operations, sampling and in light of threshold value published by IBM, the parameters arrived and justified in terms of MEMC Rules 2015. The three Axes viz Geological, Feasibility and Economic are detailed as below: GEOLOGICAL AXIS: 1. Geological Survey: i) Mapping: Detailed geological surveys were carried out in the scale with one meter contour interval. ii) Preparation of detailed topographical cum Geological map cum Geological map including all surface Geological features, structures, location of exploratory pits and sections of exploratory mine development and pit data have been prepared on the same scale duly marked with surface geological features, location of trial pits etc. iii) Topo grid / Triangulation stations: The topo grid with Geological cross sections have been prepared on prescribed scale showing boundary of litho-units. Relevant plans are enclosed at Plate No's.: IV & IV A.

Page...ll 2. Geo-Chemical Survey: As the area under exploration was exposed without any soil cover and four exploratory pits were dug to a depth of 8.0 m from ground level Geo-chemical survey was confined to collection of composite samples from the exploratory pits. Pitting was carried out covering the entire leasehold from the bottom of the working pit. The sectional area was considered and actual thickness of Limestone as per pit data and 50 m on either side along and across the dip direction. The Bulk Density was considered at

2.0

About 3 Kgs sample was collected from all the four trial pits and by adopting quartering & Coning method one Kilogram of sample was finally placed in polythene sample bag and sent to NABL Laboratory for chemical analysis. All the samples have been analysed at NABL accredited M/s Met-Chem Laboratories. The chemical analysis reports are enclosed as Annexure-VIII, VIII A . £ ^

3. Geophysical survey: Limestone deposit is outcropping in a substantial portion of the ML area. Extension of limestone deposit is well established in the ML area through number of existing working mines. Geophysical survey, as such, is not carried out. 4. Technological survey:

• Detailed topographical and geological survey was carried out on 1:1000 scale showing all the surface features, Trial pit locations, contours at 1.0 m interval, the lease

boundary, surface geology, structural features, future exploratory core boreholes etc.

• Pitting was carried out at four places covering the entire leasehold at the bottom of

the working pit at a grid interval of 100m X < 100m with sampling of composite samples. All samples were analysed for six radicals germane to the utilisation of limestone in the Fertilizer, poultry feed, paints and as additive for blending in cement manufacturing.

Page...12 • The entire thickness of powdery limestone has been intersected in the trial pits since

the depth was limited to a maximum of 8 m. below which massive siliecous limestone was intersected.

• The deposit has already been worked down to about 3.0 to 7.0 m depth (the average

surface RL is 237 m and bottom RL in IV bench is 226.7 m vide Plate-Ill) from surface making a detailed study of the three dimensional characteristics of the limestone deposit possible to such depth.

• Reserves are estimated by cross section method taking into account the excavation done so far in the deposit and the trial pits till the end of April, 2017.

The total 4.048 hect of ML area was explored with 4 No. of trial pits from bottom of

working pit to a depth of 1.0 m covering the entire leasehold as depicted on Plate-Ill correlating the data of exploratory pitting of 10 No.s trial pits up to a depth of 7.0

meters in a grid pattern of 100 m X 100 m during the submission of Modified Mining Plan period. The quantity estimated in the G1 exploration zone may be assigned UNFC code No. 1 for geological axis.

The area in the 7.5m safety barrier zone based on the observation of the trial pits in the vicinity and working pit tuffacious limestone existence is inferred to a depth of 8.0 mts. Hence, exploration is considered to be of G2 Category and quantities estimated with code-2 of UNFC under G-axis.

Locations of exploratory trial pits are furnished in Surface & Geological Plans

(Plates - III & IV). Composite Pit samples were systematically collected from four exploratory trial pits. The same were subjected to chemical analysis for CaO, MgO, Si02, AI2O3 & Fe2C>3. As the ML area was explored thoroughly during the earlier Modified Mining Plan preparation and the existence of mineral is uniform through sampling was carried out.

FEASIBILITY AXIS:

a) Local Geology: The subject area is encompasses tuffaceou^ equated to Narji formation of the Kurnool system and consists um$dTm^fadeT"ft^ AN is formed due to chemical precipitation calcium rich solutions. This tuffaceous

Limestone formation is a simple deposit and this mineral is occurring in entire

£ - V . Page...13 area applied for M.L. below 0.5m from surface. The stratigraphy/ local sequence

of formations is as below: b) Soil: The subject area is covered by thin mantle of black cotton soil with 0.5m thickness. The Soil shall be concurrently put to use for afforestation along the 7.5m buffer zone. c) Tuffaceous Limestone: This is the most important economic rock unit occurring in the subject area. It is also known as "Calctufa". This litho unit is occurring

below the mantle of soil. It occurs in the powdery form. This litho unite fine to medium grained, dull white to light brown in colour. This Limestone consists of high calcium and low silica. It is soft to medium hard in nature. It is an economical mineral for mining from this area. Two types of litho units are seen viz. Clacrete (Weathered Lst) on the top and powdery caltufa (Limestone powder) below weathered one. d) Mining: The method of mining will be 'A' Category OTFM open cast method. The proposed bench height will be 3.0m. Drilling & blasting is not required, because it

is soft deposit. The limestone is occurring in powdery form with grain size ranging from 0 to 5mm. There is no separate development for removal overburden from this area. Working will be done by push back method parallel to the working benches as the quarry is deepening. The bench height will be

maintained 3.0m and width of the benches more than 3.0m. e) Environment: EC clearance and Consent from Pollution control board is under process with the SEAC, APPCB. f) Air Quality: The subject area is away from industries and villages. So the air and water are fresh and unpolluted in this area. In general mining activity contributes

to pollution of air due to working of mining equipment, transportation, and etc. since the mine is proposed to work by manual means, there will sizeable pollution to the air. However, the dust generated due to fly of Vehicle is

suppressed by regular water sprinkling on haul Roads. g) Noise Levels: Noise pollution in mining area is mainly due to noise generation moving machinery; Noise is defined as any sound that can i^hysiological effect in an individual. Since this mine is

Page...l4 worked by semi mechanized means to a limited period. The noise level is much

below the tolerable limits. h) Water: Water resources in the area are ground and rain water. There are no sources of surface watercourses within the ML area, excepting the ephemeral

Pedda vagu on the south which is about 500m away from the ML area. General ground water table in the area is beyond 20m the depth from surface. Water is regularly sprinkled in mine workings and haul roads to suppress the dust. i) Processing plant: No processing will be carried out in the mine, total ROM will be sold to various consumers. Infrastructure:

d) Communication: All types of modem communication system like, e-mail and Internet communication are in place nea Nandavaram village which is at 2.0 Kms.

e/JoN iA k. K u -Na ^ x>- e) Costing, Capital, Operative, Marketing, Demand-Supply Relation, etc: i) Capital cost of Mining Area: The ML area is a Patta Land purchased during 1998 at a capital cost of Rs. 20,000/- per acre. The required machinery i.e. an excavator will be hired on daily basis. The mineral will be transported by hired trucks. Following are parameters considered for the costing to remove one tone of Limestone. ii) Operating cost: Following are parameters considered for the costing to

excavate one tonne of Limestone.

Heads Cost in Rs per ton Exploration & EMP Monitoring 4.00 Mining 50.00 Wages 5.00 Depreciation 2.00 Interest 1.00 j Royalty 110.00 Miscellaneous 5.00 l Overhead cost 5.00 Total 182.00 The above cost is a very approximate, whereas due to the the above shown cost may vary accordingly.

iii) Marketing: There are various Chemical, Steel, Paper and Poultry industries which utilize this limestone as raw material. The lessee is already marketing

for the last 5 years and has supply orders from these Industries. Excepting Environmental Clearance, the applied ML area meets all the parameters and on conservation side the feasibility code of '1' can be assigned. ECONOMIC AXIS:

a) Exploration: The ML area is prospected by 10 Trial pits with a grid interval of 50m

x < 50m with a depth range of 8.0m (Max). The location of the trail pits are

shown on Surface Plan and Geological Plan in earlier Modified Mining Plan and now cannot be seen as the mine is fully developed to considerable depth. The deposit is of sedimentary origin and the grid interval of the Trial pits is at 50m

and all the pits have proved the existence of the mineral. Thus the exploration so far carried out can be termed as 'Detailed Exploration'. In addition to this four

trial pits to a depth of 1.0m from the bottom of the working pit to explore for the

maximum thickness of tuffacious limestone. The pits have ended in massive siliceous limestone.

Page...16 b) Mining Report / Mining Plan / Working Mines: The Mining proposals have been planned after establishing reserves of marketable grade of Limestone. The

proper mine design is drawn as per guidelines of IBM. The observation of workings of nearby working mines indicates that the mines can economically

mineable up to 8.0 m depth. c) Specific end use grades of reserves: All the reserves assessed are above the cutoff grade. The Limestone produced from this area is showing low Silica, low Iron and high Cao, this fit for Chemical Paper, Textile, Foundries, Poultry feed

industries. The specifications of the consumer industries are as below.

Furnish detailed calculation of reserves/resources section wise (When the mine is fully mechanized and deposit is of complex nature with variation of size, shape of mineralized zones, grade due to intrusion within ore zone etc, an attempt may be made to estimate reserves/resources by slice plan method). In case of deposits where underground mining is proposed, reserve/resources may be estimated by level plan method, as applicable, as per the proposed mining parameters: Taking into consideration of all the above parameters, Five Geological Cross sections namely A- A', Al-A l', B-B', Bl-Bl' and C-C’ have been drawn at an interval of40, 50,25,20 m respectively and the estimation of reserves is computed on the basis of cross sectional method. The Trial pits have been projected on to the respective Geological cross sections and the G1 areas have been marked. The G1 scale of cross sectional area has been multiplied with the sectional influence to arrive the Volume. The volume multiplied with the bulk density to arrive the tonnage of geological reserves. For the purpose of calculations, the bulk density, a field test was conducted by digging 0.5m x 0.5m x 0.5m pit in the center of the area. The volume of the pit is confirmed by filling dry sand into pit with bucket of known capacity. The total excavated material for this pit was weighed as 0.250 tones. So, the tonnage factor of the tuffaceous limestone considered as 2.0 (0.250/0.125) per m3. To be on the conservative side the bulk density is considered to be 2.0. Based on the exploration by means of trail pits, the entire insitu reserves are saleable and these reserves are estimated under G1 category. The method of estimation for the reserve is by sectional method. The Section wise details of reserve estimation are furnished as below:

OPEN CAST MINING: A. Briefly describe the existing as well as proposed method for excavation with all

design parameters indicating on plans /sections. The existing method of mining is open cast A-category other than fully mechanized. Limestone is being mined for the

last five years and mine is fully developed. Review of Exploration, Excavation, Production and Reclamation: The proposed exploration by way of core drilling was

" t\)cO^\A-dfc-

\ Limestone production was achieved from the total area of 31,100 m2 to a depth of 5-7 mts spread over the lease hold. About 2, 41,817 tons of limestone was produced. The top soil generated was used for plantation on the south, West and North over an area of 1040m2. Reclamation could not be carried out as the mining operations continue this scheme period. A safety barrier was formed over the lease boundary to a height of 1.5mts to protect men and stray animals falling in to the working pit.

The Limestone of this area is soft to medium hard and it is amenable for excavation with the help of excavator without drilling & blasting. So, the proposed mining activity will be continued by open cast method A-category other than fully mechanized. The excavations will be carried out by forming benches of 3.0m height

from the surface. The proposed production will be 26,870 tons/ annum. During 2017-18, the workings will be started in the Eastern side of the applied M.L. area,

between the grid values of N1700598 - N1700804 & E205265 - E205425 to a depth

of 8.0 by developing two benches and workings will be oriented in almost E-W and

advancement is towards North direction. From second year onwards, the benches will be developed one below the other as shown on Plates - V (A) to V (D). The

Limestone will be excavated with the help of Excavator and the ROM will be loaded

in to tippers by manually/ excavator directly wit beneficiation.

The loaded mineral will be transported to the co in and around Kurnool District. List of mining machinery are given below

C. Enclose Individual year wise development plans and sections showing pit layouts, dumps, stacks of mineral reject, if any, etc in case of 'A' category mines. Composite development plans showing pit layouts, dumps, stacks of mineral reject, if any, etc. and year wise sections in case of 'B' category mines: Pit layout plan & section for year wise Development Plan & Section is enclosed as Plate - V A to Plate - V D & Sections in Plate - V E. The mineral is excavated from the working pit of the area and the excavated ROM will be loaded simultaneously onto tippers. This loaded material will be supplied to the user industries without any segregation or beneficiation. Since, there is no OB there is no chance for generation of O.B. or mineral rejects. (Plate - V A to Plate - V D & Sections in Plate - V E). D. Describe briefly giving salient features of proposed method of working: The M.L. area is a fully developed working mine and production achieved. The Limestone of this area is soft to medium hard and it is amenable for excavation with the help of excavator without drilling & blasting. Mining will be carried out by A-category other than fully mechanized open cast method. The excavations will be carried out in benches of 3.0m height from the existing working pit. The limestone thickness proved to an average thickness of 8.0 m from surface.

Extent of Mechanization: i) Excavators: The deployment of machinery is aimed at achieving the envisaged

maximum production of 35,790 tons or 17,875m3 of Limeston^^jTIw^rieylation is as follows: Capacity of excavators 0.9 mJ Bucket fill factor 0.8 Avg. loading 0.9x0.8 = 0.72 Cycle time for loading 35 seconds No. of buckets of 10 tons tippers 6.17 buckets (10T / 1.62T = 6.17) or

iii) Transport from mine head to the destination: By hired trucks.

E. Describe briefly the layout of mine workings, pit road layout, the layout of faces and sites for disposal of overburden / waste along with ground preparation prior to disposal of waste, reject etc. A reference to the plans and sections may be

given. UPL or ultimate size of the pit is to be shown for identification of the

suitable dumping site: During this period the excavations will be carried out from east to west of the M.L. area, over an extent of 3.110 Ha to a depth of 8.0m by

developing maximum of 3 benches and workings will be oriented in almost E-W. The existing mine roads will be used conveniently. Limestone will be excavated with

the help of Excavator and the ROM will be loaded on to tippers simultaneously

without any segregation or beneficiation of Mineral. The loaded mineral will be

transported to the consumers industries. As the mine is fully developed and large working pit formed the generation of O.B and mineral rejects does not arise. So, the

waste disposal and dump stabilization does not arise for this plan period. The year

wise developments are described below and year wise pity^ puts^ i^ ‘d on Plate - V A to Plate - V D & Sections in Plate - V E.

F. Conceptual Mine Planning up to the end of lease period takes into consideration the present available reserves and resources describing the excavation, recovery of ROM, Disposal of waste, backfilling of voids, reclamation and rehabilitation showing

on a plan with few relevant sections: It is proposed to submit a detailed conceptual plan at the end of the present plan period (Plates -VI & VIA).

i) Anticipated Life of the Deposit: The proposed rate of production & the life of the mine will be 1, 26,090 T / 26,870 T (average) =4.69 years. ii) Proposed Exploration: The mineral is existing only up to a depth of 8.0m followed by siliceous massive limestone. Hence, no further exploration is suggested. iii) Mine Development (Ultimate Pit Limit) Optimum Exploitation & Utilization of Mineral: Taking into consideration the geology, and existing exploration data a pit layout is designed. There shall be only one pit in this area. The pits are designed maintaining 60° pit slope. The pit layout is shown on the Conceptual Plan & Section

enclosed as Plate - VI & VI A respectively. It is proposed to produce 26,870 tons of limestone per year for 4 years. Taking into consideration of Geology and its structural attitudes opencast method of mining

other than fully mechanized is adopted. As the mine is fully developed and during the present 4 years of plan period, there are no chances for generatig£~_Qf-Q_.B. and mineral rejects. So, the disposal of waste, dump management pit does not arise.

Note : This Report is subject to the terms and concii;c' S mentioned overleaf. - • • I ■ J■ 3.0 Production Schedule: It is proposed to raise tpa of Limestone. The mine works in one shift i.e. General shift for 300 days in a year.

4.0 Mining method: opencast 'A' Category other than fully mechanized mining method will be adopted. Benches of 3m height, aligned parallel to the strike of the bed with an width of not less than 1.5 width. A suitable ramp to reach the pit bottom shall be made for transportation. The ultimate pit slope shall be 60° from the horizontal. The Mineral is soft and friable and thus no drilling and blasting is/shall carried out.

5.0 Beneficiation: No beneficiation is required for the limestone and the ROM can be directly supplied to the industries and buyers.

6.0. Marketing:

4 composite samples from the exploratory pits were analysed for LOI, Si02, Fe203, Al203, CaO and MgO at NABL accredited laboratory and the results are furnished as Annexure-VIII. The i i results of the chemical analysis are tabulated below:

Ca as CaO 44.1% -58.82%

Mg as MgO 0.6%- 3.10%

Sillica as Si02 <3.73 % on average

The ROM is intended to be supplied to Paper, Textile, Foundaries,Poultry feed, Steel, Glass and other chemical industries.

7.0 Infrastructure:

The ML Area is located 500m North East of Venkatapuram (V) and 3.0 Kms SW of

Nandavaram (V), Banagnapalli (M), Kurnool District. The ML area is located on Panyam - Banagnapalli Road at a distance of 14.0 Kms from Panyam and 10.0 Kms from Banaganapalli town. A diversion from Nandavaram (V) due NW by 2.5 Kms will lead to Pandlapuram (V) due by 2.5 Kms will lead to Venkatapuram (V) after crossing Peddavagu (Stream) due North by 500m will lead to the ML area.

2 Banaganapalli is well connected by road from Nandyal and Dhone towns. Transportation and conveyance is well developed with state Road Transport Corporation and private transport network.

8.0 Environmental requirements: Environmental clearance from the Ministry of Environment and Forest (MOEF), Government of India vide letter no. SEIAA/AP/VZM-10/2009-1533 dated23.9.2009 has been obtained copy enclosed as Annexure - XI. The EC for the revised production schedule will be obtained once this Review of mining plan document is approved. Progressive Mine Closure Plan (PMCP) detailing measures for reclamation/ Rehabilitation is a

part of review of mining Plan under approval; it is also dwelt upon in the document presently under submission.

9.0 Legal Factors: The Lessee has been holding mining lease over the subject area since 2009 and not encountered any legal problem related to tribal issues or National park so far since t neither of issues exists at all. Thus the Lessee has been enjoying hassle free possession of the lease and no in the context is possible.

10.0 Economic Evaluation: The Company has been producing Limestone since 2009. The cost

production of Limestone at present is Rs 362 per ton Comprising:

Winning of ore including development : Rs 727-

Royalty and Taxes : Rs 1107-

Total : Rs 1827

In the present market scenario limestone is being sold at Rs.280.00 per ton of ROM. Therefore the entire ROM is saleable as there heavy demand and market boom for Limestone.

A clear margin of Rs.98.00 profit can be achieved from the mining of limestone from this mine at present.

The foregoing account adduces to the economic viability of the whole spectrum of operations-Production, Transportation, Screening and sorting and.sales of the latter. These factors adduce to satisfying the feasibility and Economic axis too.
