BUSINESS STRUCTURE Our sales activities are split into three areas: 1. the brand business with our FRoSTA brand 2. the private label business and 3. the non-retail business including the Foodservice and Home Delivery business units In addition to our distribution activities in Germany and Poland we also operate sales offices in France, Italy, the Czech Republic, Romania, Hungary and Russia. Our products are manufactured in four specialised facilities: vegetables and herbs harvested by ourselves in Lommatzsch and Bobenheim-Roxheim, and fish and meals in Bremerhaven and Bydgoszcz (Poland). In general, we make a distinction between our own brand FRoSTA and our customers’ brands, which we produce according to their requirements. -

They have also been shown to differ from their non-family counterparts due the non- economic factors that influence their decision-making. One of the most widely used conceptualization of these factors concerns the controlling family’s socioemotional endowment or in other words, the family’s socioemotional wealth. Newer approaches have proposed that socioemotional wealth can not only be broken down into several component dimensions, but that these dimensions may shift in prioritization in response to different contingencies. The sudden spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the global crisis that has followed in its wake is one such contingency, impacting economies and family firms virtually everywhere in the world. Studying the crisis’ effects on family firms has thus already been outlined as a major focus of research going forward. This paper aims to develop the concept of socioemotional wealth as a dynamic construct and study the crisis’ effects on family firms. -

M.] The German Small-scale Bottom Trawl Survey (GSBTS) was initiated in 1987 in order to provide com- plementary investigations to the International Bottom Trawl Survey (IBTS) in the North Sea, using the same methodology but focussing high-intensity sampling on selected survey areas. Over the last 20 years, the initial number of 4 survey areas (10 ×eschweizerbartxxx 10 sng- nautical miles; “Boxes”) has been increased to 12, which are distributed over the entire North Sea. This paper describes the survey methods of the GSBTS, summarizes the scientific outcome of the first 20 years, and suggests that international fisheries research institutions would join the GSBTS. The major outcomes of the survey include to date: – Documentation changes in the distribution of fish species and in species assemblages (e.g. changes in species richness, shifts in the southern species component). – Geostatistical evaluation of GSBTS data. -

UNICONSULT Universal Transport Consulting GmbH June 2011 Konkretisierung des Hafenkonzeptes Offshore-Häfen Nordsee SH 1 EXCECUTIVE SUMMARY Within the framework of the LO-PINOD project, Brunsbüttel Ports worked out logisti- cal solutions for the servicing and installation of offshore wind farms through the net- working of small and medium sized regional ports. Near the coast of Schleswig- Holstein seven offshore wind farms will be erected. This offers an excellent business diversification opportunity for local regional ports. Through cooperation it has been established that all the services required can be offered to the wind energy sector by the ports of Schleswig-Holstein. For this, Brunsbüttel Ports worked out logistical con- cepts for each of the seven offshore wind farms. In the wider context, this also demonstrates the flexibility of regional ports and their ability to adapt to changing market forces. This particular ports grouping is also a demonstration to other LO-PINOD partners, and to the wider North Sea Region, of the benefits of regional ports working together to address market opportunities and offer joined-up collaborative solutions. Indeed, Lo-Pinod partners have also offered knowledge exchange and input into Brunsbüttel’s proposals. This will be used to in- form the proposed LO-PINOD project legacy output of a regional ports collaborative grouping.
