9th March 2016 - The Durrells, a six-part ITV drama set in Corfu, will appear on UK TV screens later this year It is based on Gerald Durrell’s classic trilogy of Corfu memoirs, including the much loved ‘My Family and Other Animals’.

The drama led by Keeley Hawes (Spooks, Line of Duty), set in 1935, was filmed in various parts of Corfu including Danilia, the picture-perfect traditional Corfu village, which is owned by Grecotel Hotels & Resorts, Greece’s top luxury hotel group. The village is available for exclusive events and weddings, as well as tours.

Visit Danilia: Guests staying at Grecotel Corfu Imperial can visit the area where the first episodes of The Durrells was filmed, tour the White House where the Durrell family lived in the 1930s and re-live some of the eccentricity of this endearing family.
