Poletti President 2 Welcome from the Commissioner June 1-2, 2018 Welcome to the annual edition of the North Carolina High School Athletic Association state baseball championships! During this weekend, four different championships will be decided at two outstanding venues, including Burlington Athletic Park in Burlington and Five Coun- ty Stadium in Zebulon. We believe that this will be a tremendous experience for the student-athletes, the coaches and administrators, and the fans of the schools who have won their way through the playoffs to reach this point. We are grateful to all of those who have a hand in making these championships possible, including all of the specific host city sponsors in each of the locations. This year the NFHS Network is on hand to provide special video coverage for this event. There are also a lot of volunteers and NCHSAA staff members who have worked tirelessly toward making this event the best it can be. We always strive to do anything we can to make this weekend a great life-long memory for each of these student-ath- letes participating and their communities. If you are a high school baseball fan in our state, then you are in the right place if you’re in one of these stadiums to enjoy championship baseball and a tradi- tion that is nearly a century in the making. We appreciate your support of high school athletics and hope you enjoy the best high school baseball our state has to offer -- the NCHSAA State Championships!
