George Imaino was born in Hilo, Hawaii. George’s parents emigrated from Japan to

Hawaii. He has eight brothers and sisters. He was brought to Washington because he had a great opportunity to work for Boeing for about thirty- two years as an electrical engineer. George attended college for four years in , Wisconsin at Milwaukee School of Engineering. He traveled to different places around the world such as Korea where he lived for two years and Japan. He lived in Hawaii, Alabama, New York, Florida and Phoenix. Before attending college, George was in the army for two years. George has been living at Abor Village for about two months now where he enjoys the amazing food and likes to play with his cockatiel, Pepper. George is fond of the many growing friendships he has made here at Arbor Village through his ukulele and harmonica that he shares with other residents. George’s greatest strength is that he lives his life to the fullest. One thing that George remembers about his dear wife Lorraine Marie is that she was family oriented and beautiful. They had been married since 1954. Together, they share three children; two girls named Sandy and Karen and one boy named Gordon. During his free time, George likes to work on origami, singing patriotic and Japanese songs. He loves to play his harmonica and ukulele as well as building, woodworking and playing sports. One lesson that George has learned in his life is to always be nice to people even if you’re going through a hard time of your own.
