Manufacturers participating in the Test can display their products at the Electric Bike Show in Lorsch without any further charge. The show is taking place in the open air grounds next to Nibelungen Hall on 24 and 25 April 2009. Lorsch 24 and 25 April – Ergonomics Tests
Ergonomics tests will be conducted inside the Nibelungen Hall in Lorsch. Outside Nibelungen Hall all electric bikes of the test will be test ridden by registered riders and visitors. This kick- off event of the 2009 Spring Test is held as part of the electric bike show in Lorsch on the same dates.

Manufacturers having their pedelecs tested, may present their bikes on the test track as part of Spezi on 26 April at no cost. Tests in Tanna and Tourist-Related Issues
The tests and supporting program in Tanna commerce on 28 April and run until 8 May 2009.
Especially the period from 28 April (in the afternoon) to 3 May is recommended to participants by ExtraEnergy, since this is the core of the program.
Tanna is situated in the Vogtland of Thuringia, in the district Saale-Orla. Holiday accommodation should also be considered, since the choice of hotels in the surrounding area is very limited and most hotel rooms are already booked on 1 May.

13h00: Welcome in Koskauer Str. 100 – right at the back of the premises in the exhibition hall.
The old and new testing techniques are presented.
All get the opportunity to ride on the test tracks. 28 April Tanna
Evening program: 16h00: Leave from Koskauer Str. 100 by bus for Schloss Burgk Travel time about 20 minutes. Those who are interested, can go on a guided tour of the castle. Dinner will be served for all in the castle. 22h00: Leave for Tanna. 29 April Tanna
09h00: Leave from Koskauer Str. 100 by bus to Schweinfurt to view the test laboratory and the new test facility of the testing partner Velotech.

Explanation of the development approach underlying the basic inspection all test bikes will be subjected to in May by ExtraEnergy.

In the morning all participants will get the opportunity to ride the test bikes on the actual test track. This will be possible every morning, although, every day, different bikes will be reserved for the test riders employed by ExtraEnergy.
At 13h30: Leave for Erfurt to visit IWM, an educational institution which developed a training course for electric bike experts in cooperation with ExtraEnergy. The course will start in fall this year. The special aspect of the course is, that IWM managed to put together an incredible offer in cooperation with public employment bureaux. In winter, bike dealers can send their workshop staff on a multi-week, or multi-month training course, and have their staff paid by the employment bureau during this time. What is more, the employment bureau will carry all costs connected to the course.
This offer will be announced on 30 April for the first time.
From IWM participants will go on a guided walking tour of Erfurt and later have dinner together. All are scheduled to arrive back in Tanna around 22h00. 1 May Tanna

20h00: Dinner in the ExtraEnergy Museum with a presentation by Hans Tholstrup (inventor of the solar mobile in Australia in 1982) and Detlef Schmitz, solar mobile pioneer in 1985. They will present their latest plans to visit faraway countries with utility pedelecs. 2 May Tanna

From 15h00 to 23h00: Pedelec tour to thermal baths in Bad Lobenstein about 30 km fast ausschließlich auf Waldwegen und entlang der Saaletalsperre. www.ardesia-therme.de
Test riders and participants who do not want to ride the 30 km stretch on pedelecs, can take the bus, which will leave from Tanna at 17h00, and back again at 22h00. Participants who have opted for pedelecs, can also take the bus back or ride. 3 May Tanna
Open house at ExtraEnergy – everyone is free to visit!
At 11h00: Guided tour through the old school building (the one between church and town hall), which will be the future training building of ExtraEnergy. Open until 12h00.
From 13h00: Open house in Koskauer Str. 100. Test rides for all. 4 - 8 May Tanna
Test rides are possible on these days. There will be no special supporting program.
On 7 May the buildings at Koskauer Str. 100 will be closed to visitors and manufacturers.
On 8 May the technical results of the test will be presented at 10h00 as part of a press conference. They will be published at ExtraEnergy.org on the same day.
