Mastrodonato and Miotto are not the only set of former junior teammates on the Canisius roster as seniors Logan Gestro and David Baskerville spent the 2016-17 season together with the NAHL’s Corpus Christi IceRays.

CANISIUS PLACES 12 ON AHCA ALL-AMERICAN SCHOLAR LIST A program-record 12 Canisius hockey student-athletes were acknowledged for their efforts in the classroom as the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) announced its “Krampade All-American Scholars” for the 2019-20 season. Graduated seniors Nick Hutchison, Jesse Pereira, Will Scherer, Matt Stief and Daniel Urbani were all recognized, along with juniors Logan Gestro and Tucker Weppner and redshirt sophomore David Baskerville. Sophomore Lee Lapid and freshmen Lincoln Erne, Simon Gravel and Ryan Miotto rounded out the list for Canisius, which recognized student-athletes who attained a 3.75 GPA for the fall semester and participated in 40% of their school’s games.
