Suitably qualified tenderers are invited for the Tender Sale of Faulty Transformer and Equipment at Bintulu Regional Store stated as follows:

2. Please note that all Tenderers are required to register in SEPRO to participate in this tender. If your company is not registered in SEPRO, please allow ample time to complete registration. All tenderers must bring along Original Copies (for verification) of Company Registration (Form 24 and Form 49) or Form I (The Businesses, Professions and Trading Licensing Ordinance) and Company Official Stamp during the Tender Briefing.

5. Tender documents can only be accessible to the Tenderer after registration.

APPENDIX 1 -THE SCOPE OF WORKS

The services to be provided by the service provider include the following:

• The handling and transportation of general electrical goods are: a. Between Bintulu Regional Store, Kidurong Store Bintulu and Rented Warehouse b. Between Bintulu Regional Store / Kidurong Store Bintulu and Regional Store c. Between Bintulu Regional Store / Kidurong Store Bintulu and Regional Store d. Between Bintulu Regional Store / Kidurong Store Bintulu and Regional Store

• The Contractor is required to provide sufficient Goods In Transit (GIT) insurance policy for the service.

• In addition to providing services during normal working hours, the Contractor must be contactable at all time (24 hours) and is able to attend urgent request. The Contractor is required to respond to the urgent request in one (1) hour time upon contacted by Bintulu Regional Storekeepers.

• The Contractor must have a full-fledged office established in Bintulu and provided with facilities like telephone, fax, handphone and proper administrative system. Failing in fulfilling this requirement may lead to termination of contract without any further notice.

The service provider will include the following at:

1) SEB Regional Stores / Kidurong Store Bintulu / Rented Warehouse in Bintulu:

The Contractor shall provide all equipment (heavy lifting equipment, crane etc.), tools and labour for loading and unloading of goods from or to his lorry/trailers and arranging it at the actual location intended as instructed by Company representative. He shall assign competent supervisors to closely supervise and monitor the handling and shifting of articles throughout the whole operation.

2) Works to be at the Satisfaction of the Employer

Save in so far as it is legally or physically impossible the Contractor shall execute and complete the works in strict accordance with the Contract to the satisfaction of the Company and shall comply with and adhere strictly to the Employer's instructions and directions or any matter (whether mentioned in the contract or not). The Contractor shall take instructions and directions only from the Company or his nominated representative.

3) Supervision

The Contractor shall assign competent supervisors to closely supervise and monitor the handling and shifting of articles throughout the whole operation. The supervisor shall constantly communicate with the Employer’s representative and shall carry out the instructions so given as to the handling and arranging of articles to the locations intended.

4) Handling

The Contractor shall exercise greatest care while carrying out the handling and shifting of articles to avoid any damage to the articles transported, and to the floors, doors or walls. Special precaution shall be taken while handling delicate equipment and the Contractor shall adhere strictly to the specific instruction so given. The approval of the Employer regarding the method of handling shall in no way relieve the Contractor from his liability imposed upon him by any provision of this contract.

5) Labour and Tools

The Contractor shall furnish to the Employer full details of the labour, tools, etc he proposes to employ on the works. The Contractor is responsible for heavy lifting equipment, cranes, etc. if required. He must allow sufficient manpower, tools, etc. to enable him to complete the works within the stipulated period(s), if applicable.

6) Contractor’s Responsibility

The Contractor shall be held fully responsible for the safety of the articles to be transported and shall bear all cost for the damage so incurred due to carelessness or negligence in the part of the Contractor.

The Employer is to be indemnified against all losses and any loss of any and every item transported by the Contractor during the time while the items are in their custody and during loading and unloading. In the event of loss, the Contractor must undertake to replacement or reimbursement to the Employer for the cost of the item/items lost.

7) Working Hours

The Contractor shall carry out the contract work during the Employer's normal working hours. In the event that such work is unavoidable, prior approval shall be obtained from the Employer before work commences.

Normal Working Hours

Monday to Thursday: 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m

2:00 p.m to 5:00 p.m

Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

2:15 p.m to 5:00 p.m

8) Conforming with Laws

The Contractor shall in respect of the Works and Temporary Works, conform to all laws and all statutory rules, regulations and by-laws in force from time to time in the place where work is being or is to be executed, and shall give all notices required to be given, and shall pay all fees that may be lawfully demanded by any public officer in respect of the Works and Temporary Works, and he shall perform all duties, and pay all assessments and sums required to be paid in respect of employees and labourers employed by him on the site.
