ALTON COMMUNITY SUPPORT DIRECTORY We are fortunate to have a wide variety of voluntary support groups and clubs, both national and local, in the Alton area who provide advice, support and help to our community on a wide variety of health and social issues. As patient representatives we work closely with practice and community teams and recognize the value of these support groups to our community.
We hope that this Directory will make it easier for health professionals to identify a specific group who could provide support for their patients. The Directory will also assist in promoting self - help within our community for those needing additional support to complement health and social care provided by primary and community teams and our local hospitals.
