Therefore we have developed several short courses, each designed to help Common Rail Direct Injection (Diesel Engine) youths kick-start a rewarding career within the accessories sales and installation industry. These short courses are Diagnostic Specialist facilitated by industry coaches who bring with them years of valuable experiences. These short courses are open to individuals aged 17 years and above with a strong interest in the chosen area of study. Interested students will be placed into relevant workshops to gain practical training after completing them. Car Audio System Installation Students will start this 4-month course by learning the essential skills to perform audio accessories installation, followed by learning the correct usage of tools, critical knowledge on auto electrical systems, interior trims assembly and disassembly, construction of speaker boxes and audio system installation. You will then focus on the advanced aspects of car audio installation, especially on mastering audio and sound technologies, sound proofing, sound staging and separation as wellas customised installation. Course Coverage Workshop Practices & Basic Automotive Technology; Interior Trims; Speakers & Speakers Fabrication; Audio System Installation; Audio & Sound Technology; Wiring, Interfaces & Assemblies; Sound Proofing, Sound Separation; Glass Tinting; Basic Customer Service. Automotive Air Conditioning Servicing This is a 4-month course designed to cater for both working and non-working individuals. Students will start with familiarisation of the automotive electrical systems and components, followed by understanding basic automotive air-conditioning systems operations, its components, layout and locations. Students are then trained to perform periodic and preventive maintenance jobs using appropriate servicing equipment and hand-tools, before enhancing their service and repair skills in more complex situations like removing bad odour, fault diagnosing and remedy using suitable techniques, and retrofitting activities. Course Coverage Automotive Electrical System; Auto Air-Conditioning; Mechanical And Electrical Layouts; Service Repair; Bad Odour Removal; Psychrometrics; Retrofitting; Basic Customer Service. Certificate in English Proficiency (CEP) This programme is designed to enhance and improve student’s proficiency level focusing on writing, speaking and listening skills. The programme will also prepare students for further studies in English speaking countries. Each level is approximately 4 months and students will join the appropriate level depending on their current proficiency. 15 Further Studies Pathways Upon completion of Upon completion of Upon completion of Diploma in Automotive Technology (DAT) Diploma in Motorsport Technology (DMS) Diploma in Automotive Technology (DAE) (2.5 years) (2.5 years) (2.5 years) Further Study Options Further Study Options Further Study Options University of Hertfordshire University of Coventry, West Midland, UK University of Coventry, West Midland, UK B.Eng (Hons) Automotive Engineering 3 years BEng (Hons) Automotive Engineering 2 years BEng (Hons) Automotive Engineering 2 years B.Eng (Hons) Automotive Engineering with Motorsport 3 years BEng (Hons) Motorsport Engineering 2 years • MEng (Hons) in Automotive Engineering 1 year B.Sc (Hons) Automotive Technology with Management 2 years • MEng (Hons) in Automotive Engineering 1 year • MSc in Automotive Engineering 1 year B.Sc (Hons) Motorsports Technology 2 years • MSc in Automotive Engineering 1 year • MSc in Automotive Engineering • MEng in Automotive Engineering • MEng in Automotive Engineering with Motorsport West Nottinghamshire College, UK Edith Cowan University, Perth Australia Edith Cowan University, Perth Australia Foundation Degree in Motorsport technology & 1 year B Technology (Motorsport) 3 years B Technology (Motorsport) 3 years B.Sc (Hons) Technology & Engineering 1 year B Technology in Motorsport & 5 years B Technology in Motorsport & 5 years Management Leeds Metropolitan University, UK Mechanical Engineering (Double Degree) Mechanical Engineering (Double Degree) OR B Technology
