Purpose of this document
The game shall be played according to the rules defined by the International Floorball Federation.
This document describes additional regulations agreed by Peninsula Floorball Club Inc. Committee. They shall apply to both Junior and Senior social competition organised by Peninsula Floorball Club unless otherwise stated. The term Junior applies to all levels of Junior competition.
Game Time
Purpose: Game time is set in line with court availability and restriction.
Junior games - 10 minute periods. Break of 2 minutes between periods.
Intermediate games – 12 minute periods. Break of 2 minutes between periods.
Normal game time is 3 periods of 15 minutes each. Break of 2 minutes between periods.
Clock can be stopped as requested by the referee when the game is interrupted. An example of interruption can be player injury or displacement of the rink.
Participation Rule
Purpose: Encourage PFC members to participate in our competition and contribute to the enhancement of the game of floorball in our club. Good spirit and Fair Play is encouraged.
This rule is not meant for a team to gain advantage over another. It would not be in the spirit of our competition for a team captain to discourage some of the team members to be absent for specific games in order to recruit external experienced players with no commitment to PFC.

Players participating in our competition are expected to be FA registered players. Minimum level of Social member is required.
FA registration expires 30 June every year. Players responsible to keep their FA registration financial.
New players can play the competition for two weeks before being requested to become FA registered member.
All players participating in the final round must be registered FA members.
Team captains are responsible for their team players to register at senior level
Team managers are responsible for their team players to register at junior level
Players joining a team for the first time will have to play at least 3 games during normal round in order to participate in the final round.
Substitution Rule
Purpose: Due to some teams having limited number of players, fill-in players can be used to form a team. This rule is meant to encourage competitive games and also provide available players chances to improve their skills.
This rule is not meant for a team to gain advantage over another. It would not be in the spirit of our competition for a team captain to discourage some of the team members to be absent for a game in order to have access to better players by using the substitute rule.
Teams found to be not playing in the spirit of the game may be brought before the disciplinary committee.
At seniors level- Fill in players may be selected from the fill in players pool
At seniors level - Goalkeepers are exempt of the player pool
Junior and Senior- Fill-in players are allowed in order to form a team of maximum 8 players, including a Goal Keeper
In the spirit of our competition, all efforts should be made to avoid having team to forfeit games.

Goals scored by Fill-in players do not count.
Points earned by fill-in players will not be accounted in competition stats. International player rule
Current National team representative players may request additional time on court.
This will be decided upon a case by case basis by the executive committee. Player Pool Substitutions
The player pool is decided by the disciplinary committee.
Unless captains and referee’s agree, exemptions to the player pool rules shall be decided by the executive committee to avoid bias Forfeit rule
Forfeit rules are as per IFF rules and guidelines
Providing referee’s when rostered
If a team neglects their referee duties, the penalties will be as follows
1 referee not supplied - 1 championship point removed
2 referee’s not supplied – 3 championship points removed
Competition Stats
Competition stats are collected from game sheet. In order to insure accuracy, team captains (seniors ) and team managers ( juniors) have the following duties in regards to the game sheet
Prior to the game start

End of the game
Verify the accuracy of the result and the point’s allocation. Proposed change must be agree by the referee. Sign the sheet.
Position Table
Points are allocated to team during normal competition round only.
3 points granted to winning team. 1 point granted to both team for a draw result. 0 point granted to losing team.
The ordering of the position table is based according to:
1. Points accumulated 2. Goal Difference 3. Number of Goals scored
Player Table:
Points are allocated to players during normal competition round. Points earned by fill-in players will not be accounted in the player’s table.
1 point for goal 1 point for assist
Final Rounds – Winning team in case of a Draw result
Purpose: Due to court time availability and schedule constraint, a winning team has to be defined in case of a draw result at end of game time.
This rule is meant to favour the team best placed in the competition table.

Referring to the table at end of normal competition, the team having achieved highest position on the table will be declared the game winning team. One additional goal will be granted to that team and the final result shall be noted with (TP) after the game result.
Junior level – Grand final round
Effective time is played for the last 3 minutes of the final period In the event of a draw 5 minutes of overtime will be played as “Golden goal”. When the 1st team scores a goal within the allocated 5 minutes, they shall be declared the winner The final 3 minutes of overtime shall be effective time
If it is still a draw at the end of the overtime period, the team placed highest on the ladder at the end of the regular competition season shall be declared the winner, as per position table rules.
Senior Competition –Grand Final game
Five minutes Extra-time, with the last 3 minutes being effective time with team scoring first declared winner (Golden Goal Rule).
Five field players from each team shall take one penalty shot each. Winning team declared from team scoring highest number of goals at the end of this round.
In the event that teams are tied after the completion of 5 penalty shots each, each team shall take alternate penalty shots until one team obtains a 1 goal advantage after the completion of equal shots. These shots may be taken by any player including the 5 players who have already taken a shot in the opening round.
One additional goal will be granted to the winning team and the final result shall be noted with (ET) after game result if result achieved in extra time or (SO) after game result if result achieved after penalty shoot-out.
