The Stages Festival — now in its 18th year* — is a program that offers free and discounted performances, workshops and events at New Jersey professional theatres, libraries, senior centers and other non-traditional venues every March. Join us — and bring your family and your friends — to experience the quality, inspiration and richness that New Jersey’s professional theatres have to offer.

Our commitment to accessibility The New Jersey Theatre Alliance is committed to making all of its programs and services fully accessible to the public. All venues participating in The Stages Festival are wheelchair accessible. Events take place at various locations throughout the state. Contact individual venues directly if you require further details regarding physical access (e.g. parking, wheelchair seating, restroom access). If you require any special services such as sign language interpretation or assistive listening, contact us at 973-731-6582 x15 at least two weeks prior to the scheduled event so we can work with the venue to meet your needs.

Weather Cancellations While we make every effort to have the show go on, in some cases a performance must be cancelled due to weather for the safety of patrons, staff and performers. If you have questions about a possible weather cancellation go to The Stages Festival website at stagesfestival.org, or call the venue for updates.

Select events will feature visits from Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey’s Blue to You van — a mobile customer service unit equipped with knowledgeable representatives to help Medicare Advantage customers and Medicare-eligible consumers get better access to one-on-one care and information. Staff can arrange medical appointments, transportation services, and discuss wellness and educational topics on the spot.
