WORSHIP THROUGH SONG

SONG 1 | Bless The Lord (10,000 Reasons)

The sun comes up, it's a new day dawning, It's time to sing your song again. Whatever may pass and whatever lies before me, Let me be singing when the evening comes.

CHORUS: Bless the Lord, O my soul, O my soul; Worship his holy name. Sing like never before, O my soul. I'll worship your holy name.

You're rich in love and you're slow to anger, Your name is great and your heart is kind. For all your goodness I will keep on singing, Of this redemption that my heart has found.

And on that day when my strength is failing, The end draws near and my time has come, Still my soul will sing Your praise unending: Ten thousand years and then forevermore!

CHORUS

SONG 2 | Oh Praise (The Only One)

There is no greater truth than this There is no stronger love we know God Himself comes down to live And makes the sinner's heart His throne.

There is no deeper peace than this No other kindness can com-pare He clothes us in His righteous-ness Forever free, forever heirs.

CHORUS: Oh praise the only one Who shines brighter than ten thousand suns Death and hell call him victorious, Praise him! Oh praise the one true King Lift it loud till earth and heaven ring Every crown we lay down at his feet, Praise him!

There is no sweeter joy than this There is no stronger hope we hold We are His for-ever more Safe secure by Christ alone.

CHORUS

There is no sound that's like the song That rises up from grateful saints We once were lost but now we're found One with Him we bear His name.

CHORUS: Oh praise the only one Who shines brighter than ten thousand suns Death and hell call him victorious, Praise him! Oh praise the one true King Lift it loud till earth and heaven ring Every crown we lay down at his feet, Praise him! praise him, praise him, praise him

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE Led by Ballad Sweeney

SCRIPTURE READING Led by Johanna Turner

Matthew 11:25-12:14 ESV

At that time Jesus declared, “I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, “Look, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.” He said to them, “Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and those who were with him: how he entered the house of God and ate the bread of the Presence, which it was not lawful for him to eat nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests? Or have you not read in the Law how on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath and are guiltless? I tell you, something greater than the temple is here. And if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless. For the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”

He went on from there and entered their synagogue. And a man was there with a withered hand. And they asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”—so that they might accuse him. He said to them, “Which one of you who has a sheep, if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not take hold of it and lift it out? Of how much more value is a man than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.” Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And the man stretched it out, and it was restored, healthy like the other. But the Pharisees went out and conspired against him, how to destroy him.

SONG 3 | Still My Soul, Be Still

Still, my soul, be still and do not fear. Though winds of change may rage tomorrow, God is at your side; No longer dread the fires of unexpected sorrow.

CHORUS: God, you are my God, And I will trust in you and not be shaken. Lord of peace, renew A steadfast spirit within me to rest in you alone.

Still, my soul, be still. Do not be moved by lesser lights and fleeting shadows. Hold onto his ways with shield of faith Against temptations flaming arrows.

CHORUS

Still, my soul, be still. Do not forsake the truth you learned in the beginning. Wait upon the Lord and hope will rise As stars appear when day is dimming.

Song 4 | O Praise The Name (Anastasis)

I cast my mind to Calvary Where Jesus bled and died for me I see His wounds, His hands, His feet My Saviour on that cursed tree

His body bound and drenched in tears They laid Him down in Joseph's tomb. The entrance sealed by heavy stone Messiah still and all alone

CHORUS: O praise the name of the Lord our God O praise His name forever more For endless days we will sing Your praise Oh Lord, oh Lord our God

Then on the third at break of dawn The Son of Heaven rose again O trampled death, where is your sting? The angels roar for Christ the King

CHORUS

He shall return in robes of white The blazing sun shall pierce the night And I will rise among the saints My gaze transfixed on Jesus' face
