The Miners improved to 3-2 with a 26-0 Date Opponent Time/Score blanking of William Jewell last week, while the Owls, a member of the NCAA’s FCS division, are 3-1 Sept. 3 BACONE W, 62-14 and have won three straight. (Through Oct. 1, 2016) • Nate Brown’s interception 55 seconds into the game marked the fastest score by a Miner to start a GLVC Overall season on record. It was also S&T’s third scoring play in the first minute of a contest since the Southwest Baptist 3-0 5-0 Truman State 3-0 4-1 GLVC started sponsoring football in 2012 among the 12 recorded by league schools. S&T owns Missouri S&T 2-1 3-2 the top two marks on that list. S&T’s 167 sacks since 2012 is the the most among the six GLVC schools that have played in the league since its inception.
