For the period of Sunday, , 2020 through Saturday, May 30, 2020, the Police Department responded to 454 calls for service. One residential burglary, one commercial burglaries, and zero attempt residential burglaries occurred during the reporting week. The following is a summary report of the key incidents handled by the Department during this reporting period.

11:07 A.M. / PC 484A / PC 602 / THEFT / TRESPASS / 2300 BLOCK OF ROANOKE ROAD: Unknown suspect trespassed on to the victim’s property and attempted to carry the victim’s property over a gate.

7:56 P.M. / LOCATED MISSING / SIERRA MADRE BOULEVARD / CALIFORNIA BOULEVARD: Officers responded to the listed location regarding the welfare check of a male subject laying down on the sidewalk. Upon further investigation, it was determined that the male subject was feeling ill and was a person reported missing. The male subject was transported to the hospital for treatment.

10:52 P.M. / CVC 14601 / DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE / HUNTINGTON DRIVE / SHENANDOAH ROAD: Vehicle was stopped for a vehicle code violation. During the subsequent investigation, it was determined that the driver Dominguez, Mark Anthony (DOB 3/7/1999, Temple City), was driving on a suspended license. Dominguez was issued an own recognizance citation.

2:08 A.M. / CVC 14601 / DRIVING WITH A SUSPENDED LICENSE / HUNTINGTON DRIVE / SAN GABRIEL BOULEVARD: Vehicle was stopped for a vehicle code violation. During the subsequent investigation, it was determined that the driver Ortega Flores, Lenin Francisco (DOB 5/181995, Alhambra), was driving on a suspended license. Ortega Flores was issued an own recognizance citation.

8:43 A.M. / PROPERTY FOR DESTRUCTION / 1900 BLOCK OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE: Ammunition for destruction.

6:55 A.M. / PC 487 / THEFT FROM VEHICLE / 2700 BLOCK OF ARDMORE ROAD: Unknown suspect(s) entered the victim’s driveway and gained access to victim’s unlocked vehicle. The suspect(s) removed multiple items from the victim’s vehicle, which were located, except for the victim’s iPad.

10:21 A.M. / PC 484A / PETTY THEFT / 2000 BLOCK OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE: Unknown suspect(s) removed property from the front of the building.

11:27 P.M. / PC 664 / PC 459A / ATTEMPT VEHICLE BURLGARY / 2500 BLOCK OF MISSION STREET: Unknown suspect(s) attempted to smash the front passenger window of the victim’s vehicle unsuccessfully. The unknown suspect(s) fled the scene in an unknown direction by unknown means.

12:38 A.M. / H&S 11364 / POSSESSION OF PARAPHERNALIA / 2400 BLOCK OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE: A vehicle check of a parked car at the listed location revealed that the occupant of the vehicle, Jara, Alan Azpeitia (DOB 3/24/1994, Duarte) was in possession of drug paraphernalia. Jara was issued an own recognizance citation for possession of paraphernalia and released in the field without incident.

10:08 A.M. / PC 487 / GRAND THEFT / 1300 BLK OF WINSTON AVENUE: Unknown suspect(s) took a bicycle from the victim’s locked rear yard.

11:26 A.M. / PC 484 / THEFT / 2800 BLOCK OF GAINSBOROUGH DRIVE: Unknown suspect(s) removed property from the victim’s front porch.

11:44 A.M. / PC 484 / THEFT / 2900 BLOCK OF SHEFFIELD ROAD: Unknown suspect(s) removed gardening equipment from the victim’s truck

4:46 P.M. / PC 532 / FALSE PRETENSES / 1400 BLOCK OF LORAIN ROAD: Unknown suspect(s) used a false computer pop-up listing suggesting that the victim’s computer had a virus. The suspect requested money be sent to them prior to fixing and clearing the victim’s computer of the virus.

12:04 A.M. / PC 422 / CRIMINAL THREATS / 2000 BLOCK OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE: Detectives investigated a criminal threats incident.

1:48 P.M. / PC 459 / COMMERCIAL BURGLARY / 2000 BLOCK OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE: Unknown suspect(s) gained access through an unsecured sliding door mechanism. The suspect then removed baseball gloves, a duffle bag, and a baseball bat.

5:09 P.M. / INCIDENT REPORT / 2000 BLOCK OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE: A male subject approached the reporting party asking for gas money, the male subject returned for a second time asking for more gas money. The reporting party asked the male subject to leave the premises and the male subject brandished an object from his pocket, and yelled at a female subject prior to leaving the premises. A felony traffic stop was conducted on the male subject, the reporting party was contacted once again and recanted his story. The male subject was released from the scene without incident.

11:11 A.M. / PC 484 / THEFT / 2800 BLOCK OF GAINSBOROUGH DRIVE: Unknown suspect(s) removed property form the victim’s front porch.

1:05 P.M. / PC 484 / THEFT / 500 BLOCK OF LA GAINSBOROUGH DRIVE: Unknown suspect(s) removed property form the victim’s front porch.

4:23 P.M. / PC 459 / RESIDENTIAL BURGLARY / 500 BLOCK OF HUNTINGTON DRIVE: Unknown suspect(s) kicked in a doorway to gain access to the property. An interior check of the residence was conducted and no suspects were found in the property.

2:30 P.M. / FOUND PROPERTY / 1000 BLOCK OF GRANADA AVENUE: A passerby found mail scattered across his lawn that did not belong to him.

6:41 P.M. / PC 487 / GRAND THEFT / 1000 BLOCK OF GRANADA AVENUE: Unknown suspects drove up to the victim’s parked vehicle, pried open the camper shell of the victim’s vehicle, and removed gardening equipment out of the camper shell. The suspects fled the scene in a vehicle.
