Day 1, Friday: Arrival at Taipei Upon arrival at Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, there will be a transfer provided to bring you to the hotel. The rest of the day will be free and easy and at your own leisure.

Day 2, Saturday: Shifen Old Street – Zhongshan – Fengjia Night Market (Breakfast) The tour begins at the marketplace of the Shifen Old Streets, a collection of lanes and alley where one can easily snack on local delicacies, purchase souvenirs or release wishes on sky lanterns (own expense). Shifen Old Street In the afternoon, you will head to Zhongshan Food Centre to have your lunch before moving on to the National Revolutionary Martyrs’ Shrine, a structure built to honour the fallen Kuomintang soldiers after the Chinese Civil War. The excitement continues through the night at Fengjia Night Market, the biggest, most popular, and most interesting night market in Taiwan. Be it freshly cooked food, chewy bubble teas, towering ice-creams, trendy fashion apparels or accessories, you name it, they have it!

Day 3, Sunday: Alishan – Fenchihu Old Street – Shouzhen Temple – Sister Lakes – Night Market (Breakfast/Lunch) Fengjia Night Market Today, you will explore the Alishan National Scenic Area, a region dominated by the Alishan Mountains, cloud-ringed peaks and green valleys. Besides being one of the major landmarks associated with Taiwan, the area is also well-known for its production of high altitude mountain tea and wasabi. One of the attraction that you will venture into include the Fenchihu Old Street, a small town of low wooden buildings embedded into the mountainside. At Fenchihu, visitors may find themselves going through a unique antiquity trip various specialties such as aiyu jelly, bamboo shoots, lunch boxes and many other local delicacies. Next, you will continue on to the largest temple in Alishan area and highest altitude temple in Taiwan, the Shouzhen Temple before moving on to the Sister Lakes. Legend has it that the two high mountain lakes were formed by the suicides of two aboriginal girls who failed to find love. In the evening, you will visit the Chiayi Night Market – a bustling business street in the day and a vivid night Alishan National Scenic Area market by nightfall – to sample the popular Chiayi snacks and delicacies.

Day 4, Monday: Haomeili 3D Painting Village – Jingzaijiao Tile-Paved Salt Fields – Anping Old Street (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) After breakfast, you will depart for Haomeili Fishing Village, the first village in Taiwan to present 3D Art Painting. Scan through the vivid and simulated Sea World Display, and brace yourself to be both humoured and terrified by the masterpieces! Subsequently, you will head for the Jingzaijiao Tile-Paved Salt Fields, the oldest salt field in Taiwan with 338 years of long history. Here, you may even be graced with the rare opportunity of making your own salt! You will then move on to Tainan to explore the Anping Old Street, otherwise known as Taiwan’s 1st Street. Anping Old Street is lined with traditional Haomeili Village rammed earth houses, low brick houses as well as Western mansions which allows visitors to discover the unseen beauties and learn the stories behind these preserved buildings and streets. In addition, the street also houses little shops and food stalls that cover a full range of souvenirs and handmade products of different prices. In the evening, you will revert back to the hotel where you will feast on a delicious flamed-grilled chicken meal. After dinner, you may opt to take a stroll to the nearby Shin Kong Department Store.

Day 5, Tuesday: Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area – Tai-Yi Ecological Leisure Farm Sun Moon Lake (Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner) The next leg of your journey begins at the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area, famous for its alluring body of water before heading to the Wenwu Temple, a Chinese Northern Dynasty style temple built on the north side of the lake. Following, you will also take a walk through time to visit the homes and communities of Taiwan’s main indigenous tribal groups at the Aboriginal Local Product Centre. Next, you will proceed to Tai-Yi Ecological Leisure Farm where you may wish to participate in a seasonal fruit- picking session (own expense).

Day 6, Wednesday: Pineapple Dream Factory – Mall – Ximending (Breakfast) Taipei 101 Mall After breakfast, you will embark on a tour at the Pineapple Dream Factory, where you will be brought to a room to master the secret know-hows of making Taiwan’s most famous pastry! Next, you will head to the iconic Taipei 101 Mall. The “tallest green building in the world” was designed as a symbol of technology's evolution fused with Asian tradition. The building features many pan-Chinese and Asian elements mixed with a postmodern style, and is designed to withstand typhoons and earthquakes common in Taiwan. Here, you may purchase a ticket (own expense) to the observation deck for to capture a breathtaking bird eye’s view of the city. This will be followed by a trip to Tienlu Handicraft Centre and Ximending. Besides being the host of an array of fashionables, eclectic restaurants, clubs, and bars, the ‘Harajuku’ of Taipei also has spectacular sightings such as a whole street of cinemas or graffiti- painted walls which is most definitely worth a visit! Lastly, you will end the night off by binging on Ximending Taiwan’s local delicacies at the Ningxia Night Market.

Day 7, Thursday: Depart from Taipei (Breakfast) Today, after breakfast, you will have some leisure time before your transfer back to the airport for your flight back to Singapore.
