MISS WORLD 2013 MEGAN YOUNG CALLS ON PHILIPPINE CONSUL GENERAL

Chicago 13 June 2017 - Consul General Gina A. Jamoralin met Miss World 2013 Megan Young during her courtesy call at the Kalayaan Hall of the Consulate General on 07 June 2019. Megan Lynne Young is a Filipino-American actress, model, TV Host and beauty queen. She won the Miss World Philippines title and was later crowned as Miss World 2013 in Bali, Indonesia. The American-born Filipino is the first representative of the Philippines to win the title of Miss World. Miss Young was the special guest at the Philippine Fest (Piyesta Pinoy) in Bolingbrook last 08 June 2019, which kicked of the week-long celebration of Philippine Independence Day. During the call, she was accompanied by Piyesta Pinoy organizers led by Mr. Ruben Salazar of the Philippine American Cultural Foundation (PACF). Consul General Jamoralin presented Ms. Young with a certificate of appreciation for her contribution to the commemoration of Philippine Independence with the Filipino-American community in Illinois.
