From 1968 until 1997 when the on-campus Carthage Softball Field was constructed, the Carthage softball team played on various City of Kenosha fields. The most-frequently used facility was Petretti Park on 16th Avenue, not far from the Carthage Campus on Kenosha’s north side. Columbus Park in uptown-Kenosha on 54th Street was also used. The 1996 home season was scheduled for newer facilities at Poerio Park, also on north side Kenosha along 13th Place, but weather-related issues prevented the Lady Reds from ever playing a game at the facility.
