HHS IN THE KNOW Weekly Bulletin Week of February 4, 2019 STUDENT FEES - Second semester course fees, AP exam balances, and winter athletic fees have all been posted to student accounts in Infinite Campus. Please check your student’s current account balance. There are two ways to pay fees: 1. Pay Online – You may pay online with a credit card through RevTrak by following the link on the homepage of the Heritage website or clicking this link: http://littletonpublicschools.net/schools/heritage-high-school/making-payments 2. Check or Cash – If you are paying by check, please make check payable to HHS, include your student’s name or ID number on the check, and mail it to Heritage High School, Attn: Bookkeeper, 1401 West Geddes Avenue, Littleton, CO 80120 or your student may drop a check or cash by the bookkeeping window. Please note: ❖ SENIORS: All outstanding fees and fines must be paid for seniors to receive caps and gowns and participate in the graduation ceremony. ❖ ALL STUDENTS: ● Must have a balance less than $100 to attend prom ● Must pay all outstanding fees and fines to pick up their yearbooks ● If students have book fines on their accounts, please return the book(s) to the bookkeeper and the fines will be removed, minus a late charge. ● Certain fees can be waived if your family participates in the Free and Reduced Meal Program; please contact the bookkeeper for more information. MIDYEAR CHROMEBOOK CHECK: Students who have checked out a yearly Chromebook need to bring their computers and chargers to Advisory on Monday, February 4, (Grades 9 & 10) and Friday, February 8 (Grades 11 & 12). If you are missing either the device or charger, please see Ms. Andrews in the Tech Office as soon as possible. MR. EAGLE MC AUDITIONS: Are you interested in being involved in Mr. Eagle? Do you want to help raise money for a great cause? Do you love attention? Come audition to be the MC for the very popular, always exciting, Mr. Eagle Competition! Auditions for Mr. Eagle MC are on Tuesday, February 12, after school! Sign up on the call board outside the theatre by Monday, February 11. All are welcome to audition! BOYS SWIM AND DIVE FUNDRAISER: Mark your calendars and enjoy some local dining while supporting our Boys Swim and Dive team! Lowell Blvd, Littleton 80123 (Just mention your support for HHS Swim) BOYS LACROSSE FUNDRAISER: Come dine at Mici Handcrafted Italian’s Highlands Ranch location at 9245 S. Broadway on Tuesday, February 19, and help support the Heritage Boys Lacrosse team! Mici will donate 20% of orders when you mention Heritage HS Lacrosse at the time of purchase. They are allowing us to have access to all sales from 11 am to 8:30 pm that day, so spread the word to families and friends! Enjoy brunch, lunch, afternoon snacks and dinner at Mici's. CURRENT 10TH AND 11TH GRADERS: If you are interested in becoming a LINK Leader next year, please plan on attending a mandatory interest meeting Monday, February 25, in the Second Floor Lecture Hall either during Advisory or after school from 3:40 to 4:10 pm. ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: Are you looking for a rewarding way to gain volunteer hours? Please consider the Heritage Boys Lacrosse Team Manager position. We are looking for two motivated, organized and outgoing students to help the Varsity team this spring. Your role will include helping at practices and Varsity games with water for players as well as field set-up, stats, and box communication during the games. FIRST GENERATION FUNDRAISER: The Heritage PTO and Counselor Brian Powers support students who will be the first generation in their family to attend college. He educates students on how to apply and what to expect. The PTO has supported this important program over the years, and we would love your help by participating in a fundraiser at Chick-fil-A in Aspen Grove on Thursday, March 14, from 6 am to 10 pm. Mark your calendars as we hope to see you there! ZAPS SAT TEST-PREP SEMINAR: Once again, ZAPS will be offering a two-day course to help students prepare for the April SAT exam. The seminar will be held at Heritage on Wednesday and Thursday, March 6 and 7, from 3:45 to 6:15 pm. The cost is $89.99. For more information and to register go to www.doorwaytocollege.com.
