The Hon. Jackie Trad MP Deputy , Treasurer and Minister for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships Twitter: @jackietrad

Elected in 2012, Jackie Trad is the Member for South Brisbane.

Since the Palaszczuk Labor Government’s election in 2015, more than 199,000 new Queensland jobs have been created and in her role as Treasurer, Jackie is determined to see that number continue to climb by investing in the critical infrastructure our growing State needs.

As part of the Palaszczuk Labor Government, Jackie has championed and secured funding for the development of the now completed Gold Coast Light Rail - and as of last year, kicked off the construction of South-East Queensland's Cross River Rail which will support up to 7,700 jobs during construction. It will also deliver more trains, more often and a turn up and go network for the whole South East Queensland region. As the former Infrastructure and Planning Minister, Jackie also led the development of Queensland's first infrastructure plan in seven years and the most recent South East Queensland Regional Plan.

She is also a second-generation Lebanese migrant who grew up in South Brisbane in a small business family. Jackie is now raising her two sons together with her husband, Damien, in a community she loves and is honoured to represent as their local Member of Parliament.
