THESIS ADVISOR: PROFESSOR EMERITUS KEN TAYLOR, 171pp. This research aims to review the heritage values and cultural significance of Ban Khmer and Ban Yuan villages in Bangkok for development as a secondary attraction with appropriate development, management and recommendation for tourism development plan at Ban Khmer and Ban Yuan. It has been found that Ban Khmer and Ban Yuan is valuable villages have considerable inherent potential heritage value. They are the first and oldest Christian community in Bangkok that conserve and maintain their own cultural landscape and heritage although the location is in the center of Bangkok. Heritages in Ban Khmer and Ban Yuan have both intangible and tangible heritages that they are still existing. Although, Ban Khmer and Ban Yuan are interesting places to visit, there is no serious tourism development plan to serve the community as a tourist attraction and rarely tourists visit the place. The villages have potential heritages to attract the tourists and act as the tourism attraction to serve the main tourism attraction in Bangkok. Therefore, a proposed development plan is needed which mainly focus on area management and development the tourism in the villages. The development plan for tourism in Ban Khmer and Ban Yuan consists of four programs: interpretation, management, development and recommendation. Finally, the proper tourism development and the support from all stakeholders will lead the successful tourism development of Ban Khmer and Ban Yuan as a secondary attraction in Bangkok. The case is designed to be taught in 2 class hours and is expected to require 2 hours of outside preparation by students CASE SYNOPSIS In September 2016, the committee of the National Tourism Policy of Thailand held consecutive meetings to consider the National Tourism Development Plan for 2017-2021. Accounting for 8.5 percent of GDP in 2015, the tourism industry was important to the country. Following the Thai military coup in May 2014, the nation’s economy had been in shambles. The revenue from tourism was more vital to the economy than ever. However, this industry brought many problems to the society, including increased natural resource deterioration and crime syndicates. Competition from other destinations, including ASEAN member countries, was becoming more intense and could be a future threat to the industry since international tourism flows will be diverted. Economic recession in several sources of tourists was a looming threat. The massive rising of Chinese tourists was serendipitous, as the country’s revenue from this group was dominating the inflow travel trade, but it is too risky to rely on a single market.

E-mail: [email protected], [email protected] Abstract- The mobile application has a necessory in tourism business to become available anywhere that use to find interesting knowledge of travel place. This paper aims to propose the efficiency of using the mobile application online system for encouraging culture tourism that focus on sculpture and architecture of 9 temples in Bangkok, Thailand by using panorama technique. This study collects interesting information of sculpture, painting and architecture in each legend temples. All information was designed and stored in a database that consist of image, text, animation, area place and map for helpful tourism. The mobile application is implemented in Eclipse, SQLite, android, Java SE, and panorama software. The result of the experiment is evaluated by user satisfaction and the expert evaluation that showed Mean and Standard deviation 3.98, 4.01 and 0.74, 0.69 respectively. Moreover, the number of tourism was an increase of 25.5% in the period 12 months, which will contribute to the economy of the community better in their places. Therefore, this mobile application can be used as a tool to promote cultural tourism on the other place. Keywords- Culture Tourism, Sculpture and Architecture, Mobile Application. I.
