Eco-Friendly is similar to transforming “Trash to Treasure”. By recycling something old, broken or discarded, an item that is no longer useful for its original purpose, we are helping our environment by heaping less clutter in our landfills. There are many ways to do this. You use an item originally intended for one purpose and modify it for use in an entirely different way. For example,  Fixing old suitcases with pillows into pet beds for cats and dogs.  Cutting old door frames and creating unique headboards for beds.  Turning old, windowed doors into picture frames for wall decorations.  Using an old pair of crutches and creating a 3-tiered shelf for displaying books, etc.  Cutting old plastic soda bottles into spinners or whirl-a-gigs for lawn decoration.  Turning old tires into decorative planters to be used in landscaping. The possibilities are endless; these are but a few examples. Be creative, use your skills and imagination and build something functionally useful from old, discarded items. Be a part of the solution, not a part of the problem… We will be awarding a special “BE-KIND-TO-OUR- WORLD” Eco-Friendly award.
