March 16 April 4 Americas High School - Athletic Sierra Medical Center Training Facility MAKOplasty Americas High School Sierra Medical, El Paso, Tx 79902 Monthly Business Feature D & M Service Center 840 Hawkins Blvd. Ste. A-18

D&M Service Center is an incorporated automotive repair shop founded by David Villalobos Jr. and Mike Medina in October 2011. It is located at 840 Hawkins Blvd. Ste A-18 and serves all automobile makes and models. Medina and Villalobos have a combined 25 years of experience in automotive repair and had previously planned to begin an automotive repair center that would offer customers integrity from their technician and reliable repairs. In 2011, both Medina and Villalobos found themselves in search of employment at approximately the same time and, therefore, decided to begin their research into beginning their small business. Their first step was to visit the Texas Workforce Commission to inquire about starting a small business. It was there that they were referred to the EPCC Small Business Development Center, where they attended a lending fair and set up their first appointment with Art Anchondo, one of the counselors at the development center, who guided them through pre-venture planning, business plans and the start-up process. At the same time they registered for the Quickbooks Pro Training Series and Small Business Management Institute courses to help them in managing the business once it opened. After becoming incorporated, they obtained a small loan and began looking for a location that would meet their needs while remaining affordable for the young company. They secured the Hawkins Boulevard location and immediately began making all the preparations needed to start servicing vehicles. Within less than a month , D&M served its first customer. Currently, D&M continues to service domestic and import vehicles and models, as well as fleet vehicles for a neighboring company. Their services range from simple oil changes and brake pad replacements to more complex electrical, transmission and engine repairs.

Despite the increasing number of vehicles coming in, their work remains thorough and reliable. As a result, D&M is quickly earning a reputation for friendly and detailed service which has spread by personal referrals from customers who continue to rely on D&M for their auto maintenance. It is their attention to detail and focus on customer service that rates D&M a “standout” among automotive shops in El Paso. D & M Service
