FROM THE HEADMISTRESS 2021 – A year of connection and new beginnings Mrs Megan Krimmer Headmistress “I am so excited for school!” The new year has brought with it much optimism and hope in so many areas and I know that the girls, from our youngest in “I am so excited to see my friends!” Transition and Kindergarten, to our oldest in Year 12, have big dreams for this year.     2019 TERM 4 BASKETBALL INFORMATION FOR PARENTS Dear Parents We are looking forward to the Term 4 IPSHA Basketball Competition. I hope your daughter has an enjoyable term while learning new skills, socialising and keeping fit. Duration : Each game is 2 x 20 minute halves with a 5 minute half time. Girls are asked to be at the game 30 minutes before the allocated start time. Uniform : ➢ PLC Sydney black PE shorts ➢ PLC Sydney NEW reversible singlet ➢ PLC Sydney tracksuit (optional) ➢ White Socks ➢ Sports Shoes ➢ Please note, there are some safety concerns with the sports shoes being worn to Saturday sport. Basketball shoes are different to walking shoes and running shoes, they primarily provide support during sidewards movement, reducing the risk of lower limb sprains. Running shoes only support the foot when running in a forward direction. Walking shoes (even those that look like sports shoes) provide​ no​ ​support ​for sport due to the soft flexible design, dramatically increasing the chance of injury. The PLC Sydney tracksuit may be worn to and from the venue. The grey zip-up sports top may be worn on Saturdays, but only underneath the school tracksuit. Hair must be tied back off the face and no jewellery is to be worn. Nails must be short. PLC Sydney caps may be worn to and from the game, however, may not be worn during the game for safety reasons. If outdoors, the soft brim green hat can be worn while playing. Wet Weather : Step 1 : Download the 'ipsha app' Step 2 : Click on 'venue closure' Please note that all games are ON until called off via that app.
