Looking to build on its success in winning the Football Brisbane 2011 junior club of the year award, the Bardon-based club is looking to boost its registration numbers. Club vice- president Terri Collins said all players were welcome, regardless of playing ability. ‘‘Although girls are always welcome to play in mixed competitions, we need more girls to build our numbers in our girls-only teams,’’ Col- lins said. ‘‘In 2011, the under-14 girls reached the grand final. Next year will see a senior women’s team back at the club and we’re look- ing forward to the senior players assisting with the development of talent within the juniors at the club.’’ Next year’s sign-on will be held at Bardon Bowls Club on January 28-29.
