The trustees present their report and annual accounts for the year ended 30 September 2020.

Structure, Governance and Management

Governing Document

The Charity is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) that is governed by its Club Constitution. The charity was granted charitable status on the 7 September 2017.

Objectives and Activities

Charitable purposes Provision of facilities and delivery of professional training sessions to kids, youths and adults which develop their technical abilities and improve players. Our primary goal is to promote better health, well-being and a greater social community.

Main Activities

Knightswood Football Club operates under the rules of the Scottish Youth Football Association and Scottish Football Amateur Association. We promote community participation by providing facilities and structured training sessions for football in line with the player pathway. We provide opportunities for players to develop to their full potential, we promote and educate players on the importance of a healthy lifestyle and teach them life skills through football.

Achievements and Performance

1. Knightswood FC started an under 35's team for existing Knightswood players and coaches within the local community 2. The club raised £1,000 for the team through fundraising to purchase strips and football equipment for the team.

3. The club was accredited the silver award for their hard work and dedication, driving high standards and improving the development of our players, coaches and club officials. 4. We continue to work closely with Glasgow Life and out local MP and support local events within the community.

5. During the pandemic, the club provided all age groups with online football activities, training sessions, 121 and group team calls to help support the players not from just a physical perspective but mentally. 6. We introduced an incentive programme called player skill, for all kids to send in videos of them completing a skilled task, keeping them active and creating fun games throughout the pandemic. 7. We were part of the youth football Keep Scotland Active competition and came third out of 15 clubs. 8. Online coaching courses and first aid courses were delivered to 10 coaches from the club from SYFA. 9. We maintain a good relationship with professional clubs and 5 players signed a professional contract.
