The Endocannabinoid System is still a relative mystery, considering the fact that the first ever endocannabinoid, Anandamide, was discovered in the early 1990s. Anandamide, named after the sanskrit word for bliss, plays a key role in mood and appetite, as well as pain and sleep regulation. It was through this discovery of the first endocannabinoid that we learned about the presence of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS).

Although there is still much to be learned about the ECS, one fact is not debatable – cannabis has a profound effect on the body. As cannabis was first widely used as a recreational substance, most is known about THC and the mood regulating effects of cannabis. However, as more research continued to be published, Cannabidiol (CBD) emerged as the main cannabinoid responsible for more than 80% of what makes cannabis medical.

CBD is to the Endocannabinoid System as Vitamin C is to the Immune System.

It’s believed by many that the ECS is the precursor to the Immune System. On the most basic functioning level, the job of the ECS is to tell each cell whether to repair itself or die in a process known as programmed cell death. Phytocannabinoids? What are they? - Phytocannabinoids are cannabinoids that occur naturally in the cannabis plant or any plant-derived natural product capable of either directly interacting with cannabinoid receptors or sharing chemical similarity with cannabinoids or both.

What’s your CBD Isolate and how do you use an isolate? - Our Pure Isolate, is separated by molecular weight under laboratory conditions, ensuring the purest possible product. Recommended for intraoral use, under the tongue, or “buckling” for 30 seconds or longer to get the most bioavailability.

Where is your hemp grown? Our hemp is grown in Eaton, Colorado on one of the nation's largest hemp farms. We love that our hemp is 100% USA grown and that our products are made in the USA.

How do I use the hemp oil tincture, how many times per day, and why would I benefit using it? - Our hemp oil tincture is primarily ingested sublingually (under the tongue) for improved absorption. Based on research, the recommended usage is one, 15-25mg serving, daily and consistently. Our tincture is 16.67mg per 1 ml and we recommend dispensing the tincture under the tongue and holding it there for at least 30-90 seconds to improve the bioavailability of the product (best absorption). Most of our customers start with their use in the morning, and some use right before they go to bed, depending on the reason for use. Everyone is different, and we suggest following these guidelines until you discover what works best for you. Are your products organically grown, processed and lab tested? - Our products are organically grown, processed and tested for any molds, pesticides, herbicides and solvents.

Can I vape the hemp oil tincture? - Yes, our tincture can be vaped because our carrier is an MCT oil. MCT oil is a Medium chain triglyceride(medium chain fatty acids) derived from coconut oil, which means that the heavy lipids that are in coconut oil are removed to make it an MCT oil. MCT oil has a faster absorption through the body and you can read more by clicking on the link provided.

Can the oil be used for pets / is this product pet-friendly? - Yes, our products are pet-friendly and we have many customers who purchase for their furry friends.

What is the difference between 250 mg and 500 mg tincture? The 250 mg tincture contains 250 mg of total CBD with 15 servings at 16.67 mg per serving. Our 500 mg tincture also has 16.67 mg per serving, but contains 30 servings.

Where can I find more information on CBD, other cannabinoids and research? - The blog on our website provides access to educational articles and is updated regularly by expert writers who have been writing about cannabis for many years. Will CBD interact with my other medications? - There is not enough research out there to say whether or not if there is an interaction with using phytocannabinoid derived hemp products while taking other medications.

Isn’t CBD considered a schedule I Drug (federally illegal)? - We are a hemp company, and we are regulated under the department of Agriculture. Under federal guidelines, we are required to keep our products under the .3% THC limit to keep our classification within this industry. Hemp is legal in all 50 states and has not changed. Will .3% THC give me that “High” feeling or show on a drug test? .3% THC is NOT enough to give you that “high” feeling, and it is not enough to show on a drug test. In fact, our products are routinely tested to show THC levels at well below the legal limit and, almost always, THC-free.

What’s makes your product better than all the others? - We have positioned ourselves at the top of the supply chain for not only pricing, but high quality as well. We have formed strategic partnerships that have allowed us to grow with many experts in their own area of learned knowledge of this plant. How will I know these products are working for me and how long does it take to start feeling the effects? - Everyone is different and there is not enough research out there to say when you may start feeling the effects. Some of our customers feel the effects within minutes, some days/weeks, and others take up to 3 months or longer. We recommend getting on a consistent schedule and to at least give yourself 90 days of the recommended usage.

Why is your 100 mg honey vape oil and your tincture considered full spectrum if your test results are only showing CBD? - Our products are put through a strategic purification process, which ensures all traces of THC are removed. Terpenes, which are the essential oils of all cannabis, give cannabis it’s smell and taste. Terpenes are abundant and also have therapeutic benefits, based off research. We have plants going in the ground this year that will allow us to have a broader cannabinoid profile, while still remaining free of THC.

Can I overdose on CBD? - According to research, you cannot overdose on CBD. Our natural endocannabinoids that we produce inside [Anandamide and Arachidonoylglycerol(2-AG)], are shown to have a synergistic reaction with our CB1 AND CB2 receptors, being that they come from a natural plant source. How long should I vape for when I use the pen and how many times per day? - You can vape up to 9-seconds, until the heat element automatically shuts off, and you can use as needed throughout the day and night. Everyone and every day is different.

What is the difference between using vape and using the tincture? - According to research, vaporizing is shown to have a faster effect, hitting those receptors a lot faster rather than having to wait for the product to begin the metabolism process in the liver, which can take 30 minutes all the way up to 4+ hours, depending on the person. While vaping is shown to have a faster effect, the tincture is shown to have a more lasting effect.

What is PG and VG? - PG is propylene glycol and VG is vegetable glycerin. Those are two chemicals that are used regularly in vape juice, which seems to have a thick, chemical flavor and aftertaste. We DO NOT use PG OR VG in our products.

What is the difference between the Hemp Oil Tincture, Honey Oil, and Pure Clear Oil? - Pure Spectrum’s Hemp Oil Tincture consists of organic 99% therapeutic-grade CBD isolate, USDA certified organic full spectrum CBD oil and organic MCT oil. 16.67mg CBD per 1 ml. (under .3% THC) - Our Full Spectrum Honey Oil is comprised of 100 mg CBD and the naturally-occuring, synergistic cannabinoids & terpenes, and organic MCT oil (which all batches vary and differ within the cannabinoid breakdown and terpenoids).
