Representations Statement (Regulation 31 Statement) Statement of Community Involvement Representations Statement (Regulation 31 Statement) Consultation undertaken under Regulation 28 We amended the draft SCI in view of the comments received, and formally submitted this version to the Secretary of State on Friday 3 November 2006. From Thursday 9 November to 5pm on Thursday 21 December 2006, we undertook consultation on our submitted SCI. • The SCI and DPD matters were available in the following locations (these locations are the same as those listed in the Regulation 28 Statement) • Planning Reception, The Council House, Atherstone • Atherstone Library and Information Centre • Baddesley Library and Information Centre • Coleshill Library and Information Centre • Dordon Library and Information Centre • Kingsbury Library and Information Centre • Polesworth Library and Information Centre • Water Orton Library and Information Centre • Mobile Library • The document and DPD matters were published on our website, along with advice on where and when paper copies were available for inspection. • We placed an advertisement in The Atherstone, Coleshill and Tamworth Heralds which was carried on Thursday 9 November 2006. • We sent copies of the document, along with the pre-submission consultation statement (Reg. 28 Statement), the DPD matters and details of the time and place where the documents were available for inspection, to the bodies listed in Appendix A. • We further publicised the submission and availability of the document by sending notification letters to all other organisations, bodies and individuals on the LDF mailing list (listed in Appendix B). We enclose a copy of the advertisement as well as a copy of the DPD matters in Appendix C. 26 people / organisations responded to the consultation, 5 of which had no comment to make. 1 individual wishes to appear and present their case at a public examination. 4 wish to have their objection considered as a written representation; 6 have not indicated a preference. The remainder either had no comment to make or they find the SCI sound without the need for further comment. We have received 58 representations. The types of representations are set out in Table 1 below. Table 1: Representations Received Type of Representation Number of Representations 33 Sound (15 of which made further comments and 4 suggested errors that needed correcting) 16 Comment (these comments did not specify whether the SCI was sound or unsound) Unsound 9 Total 58 33 of the 58 representations stated that the SCI was sound, although some of these representations were requesting further changes to the SCI. 9 representations stated that the SCI was unsound and 16 representations did not state whether they considered the SCI sound or unsound. • We have made the representations received available at the same locations as the SCI was available for inspection (as well as Hartshill Library which opened on 2 January 2007) • We have published the representations received on our website. • We have summarised the main issues raised in Appendix D, and have included a response to these issues, offering, where necessary, possible changes to the final SCI that would improve the document. • We hereby send copies of all the representations received, see Appendix E. One representation asked for the Royal Fine Arts Commission to be included on our database. This body has been added. The consultation report and associated appendices are provided to the Governing Body for consideration in the context of making a decision on the location of walk-in provision; alongside other information which will be presented and discussed in public at the governing body meeting on 28th January. Key Points: NHS WNCCG undertook a consultation on Improving Urgent Care between 6th October and 15th December 2015. The consultation was undertaken by Arden and Gem Commissioning Support Unit. The consultation set out two options for the location of walk-in provision. The two options were: Option 1: To relocate the walk-in service from Camp Hill to be provided on the George Eliot Hospital site, as part of a fully integrated urgent care service working closely with A&E, NHS 111 and the GP out of hours service on this site. Option 2: Keep the walk-in service as a standalone urgent care service at Camp Hill. (I.e. Do nothing.) During the consultation period over 1000 conversations were conducted and 630 consultation forms were completed. Responses were received from a wide range of locations covered by NHS WNCCG and bordering areas. Responses were from individuals and on behalf of organisations. The outcome of the consultation was : • Option 1 338 respondents • Option 2 292 respondents • Total 630 Option One: To relocate the walk-in provision to the George Eliot Hospital Site was the preferred option by a difference of 7.7%.
