During the band's heyday in the 1990’s, it was comprised of Dwayne Wiggins on lead vocals and guitar, his brother Raphael Saadiq (born Charles Ray Wiggins) on lead vocals and bass, and their cousin Timothy Christian Riley on drums and keyboards. Art was co-writer of the background music for the US television series Santa Barbara, 1984~1991, where he was honoured by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in both 1987 and 1988 for contributions as composer to the Emmy award-winning Achievement ‘Outstanding Music Direction And Composition in a Drama Series’ for Santa Barbara (NBC). He was musical director, conductor and orchestrator on live concert tours for Demis Roussos, Dory Previn, John Rowles and toured as guitarist for Manilow for over 3 years. He produced recordings for Roussos, Manilow, Sally Kellerman (hot lips from MASH) and John Rowles - achieving a Gold Record award for his production work on Johns’ renowned album ‘Another Chapter’ (EMI Records). Arts’ early composition credits include writing incidental music for the US television series The Love Boat, penned the top 10 R&B single Here We Go for recording Minnie Riperton, and the Motown Record release Now That I Have You for artist Teena Marie from the album ‘Lady T’. Tour Brings Realtors Downtown Fortunately the Regents and Downtown Doings Stewards responsible for downtown's care and maintenance haven't stopped there, and if you've walked down Dauphin Street lately, you know what we're talking about. The new trees and flowers are all but stopping traffic with their eye-catching color. Some downtown businesses have also joined the beautification band wagon. Global Tel Link, a new tenant in the AmSouth Building, paid for the plantings in that block on Dauphin and Royal Streets; Heroes on Dauphin Street, the Commerce Building on Royal Street and Norton Lilly International in the One St. Louis Building have all contributed to the effort. The combined effect is having a huge impact. The floral display certainly beautifies downtown, but also sends a more subtle message that this is a well cared for place.
