INFORMATIONEN Eddie Cochran – der Name spricht bei allen Rock 'n' Roll-Fans für sich selbst. Er war einer der authentischen Architekten des Rock 'n' Roll, und seit seinem tragischen Tod im April 1960 gab es unzählige Wiederveröffentlichungen. Dennoch ist dies die erste Kopplung, in der es ausschließlich um Eddies rockende Songs geht – ohne den üblichen Mischmasch aus Hillbilly-Nummern, In- strumentals und Balladen. Kurz: Diese CD rockt durchgehend – vom ersten bis zum letzten Ton! Hier gibt es alles – von Eddies ersten Rock 'n' Roll-Aufnahmen als Solist Anfang 1956 bis zu seiner letzten Studiosession im Ja- nuar 1960: mit echten Kostbarkeiten wie den unverfälschten Originalversionen von Skinny Jim, Twenty Flight Rock, Blue Suede Shoes und Long Tall Sally.Esgibt ferner alle Rock-Tracks von Eddies 1957er-LP 'Singin' To My Baby' und weniger geläufige Titel wie Completely Sweet und Stockings And Shoes. Natürlich sind auch seine Power-Hits Summertime Blues, C'mon Everybody und Somethin' Else dabei. Ebenfalls im Angebot sind die erst nach Eddies Tod veröffentlichten Klassiker Nervous Breakdown, Let's Get Together, My Way und Teenage Heaven, und von Ah, Pretty Girl haben wir die seltenere Fassung integriert, auf der Eddie selbst ein Gitarren-Overdub gespielt hat. Abgerundet wird die CD mit Cut Across Shorty – hier in der korrekten Geschwindigkeit, nachdem bislang häufig eine zu schnelle Fassung wiederveröffentlicht wurde. Auch wer all diese Songs kennt: Diese Zusammenstellung sorgt bei jeder Feier für Dauerfeuer unter den Fußsohlen.
