Aarhus,januar 2018 POKALFINALE I BASKETBALL FOR HERRER, 2017/18 Materiale til pressen – fra Bakken Bears Wolfpack vs Bakken Bears Lørdag den 27. januar 2018 kl. 17.30 i Forum Horsens Pokalfinaledage er festdage, og fest skal der være den 27. januar, når Forum Horsens lægger gulv til den 44. pokalfinale i basketball. Wolfpack og Bakken Bears mødes i slutkampen, hvor førstnævnte kan tage sin første pokaltitel, mens sidstnævnte kan udbygge sin status som rekordmester. Det er to nye finalister i forhold til sæsonen 2016/17, hvor Næstved efter et mirakuløst comeback slog Horsens IC i HICs egen hule. Den finale viste, at en pokalfinale ikke er afgjort før ”buzzeren” har lydt for sidste gang, og kampen skriver sig ind i en lang række dramaer i pokalturneringens historie. Wolfpack opstod under navnet Copenhagen Wolfpack i 2014 som en overbygning på Falcon og BMS/Herlev. Siden er Glostrup IC kommet til og Falcon gledet ud, og efter en strålende debutsæson med fjerdeplads og efterfølgende to år i 1. division, kom københavnerne tilbage i den bedste række inden starten på denne sæson. Wolfpack bygger på en kerne af ”egne” spillere og nogle stærke udenlandske profiler. Den erfarne amerikaner Durell Vinson er holdets altoverskyggende profil og ligaens stærkeste rebounder, mens litauiske Edgaras Stanionis har taget den danske Basketliga med storm og virkelig vist sig som en formidabel spiller – blandt andet i pokalsemifinalen, hvor han scorede 16 point i fjerde periode alene. En af moderklubberne, BMS/Herlev, er Danmarks førende klub indenfor eliteungdomsbasketball, idet klubben var repræsenteret i hele fem ud af otte ungdomspokalfinaler, der blev spillet tidligere i januar måned. Bakken Bears og Wolfpack mødtes to gange i starten af januar (3. og 6. januar). Siden har Wolfpack blot haft en kamp på programmet, mens Bears, bl.a pga deltagelsen i FIBA Europe Cup, i samme periode har spillet hele fem kampe. Uagtet at Wolfpack har haft længst tid til at fokusere på finalen, blev Wolfpacks enlige kamp efter de indbyrdes opgør spillet onsdag den 24. januar (mod Stevnsgade) - samme dag som Bears spillede mod Tsmoki Minsk. Wolfpack møder frem til pokalfinalen med nyvunden selvtillid efter en sejr onsdag over Stevnsgade, mens Bakken Bears forhåbentlig er revanchelystne efter nylige nederlag i Basketligaen imod Horsens IC og i FIBA Europe Cup mod Tsmoki Minsk. Efter pokalfinalen tager Bakken Bears allerede mandag til Montenegro for onsdag at spille imod Mornar Bar. Vinder Bakken Bears den ekstremt svære udekamp, er holdet videre til 1/8-finalerne i FIBA Europe Cup, mens et nederlag vil give holdet en altafgørende kamp for videre kvalifikation den efterfølgende onsdag (7/2) i Ungarn, når Szolnoki Olaj tager imod. Horsens IC, der har været part i de seneste tre pokalfinaler, har i alt spillet 11 finalekampe, mens SISU og BMS (der er den ene del af Wolfpack) har spillet ti. De to sidstnævnte klubbers seneste finaledeltagelse går så langt tilbage som hhv 1999/00 og 2000/01. • Bakken Bears med finaleserien i januar 2016 rekorden for flest pokaltitler, idet det var klubbens tiende titel? SISU har vundet ni, mens BMS har vundet seks. • det er første gang Wolfpack er i pokalfinalen? Wolfpack er en sammenslutning af BMS/Herlev og Glostrup IC. I modsætning til BMS, der har stolte pokaltraditioner, har de to øvrige klubber i samarbejdet ikke erfaringer fra pokalfinaler. • det er første gang de to hold overhovedet mødes i pokalturneringen? • Wolfpack i semifinalen i pokalturneringen mødte Bakken Bears’ farmerhold EBAA (Elite Basketball Akademi Aarhus), der består af talentfulde spillere fra de aarhusianske klubber? EBAA havde i de indledende runder slået to ligahold ud, nemlig Stevnsgade og Hørsholm. Med til historien om semifinalekampen hører, at ligahold kun må benytte en amerikansk spiller, når de møder lavere rangerede hold, og Wolfpack derfor ikke helt kunne stille fuldt hold. • det er fjerde gang de to hold mødes i denne sæson? Bakken Bears har vundet alle tre Basketligaopgør: 91-51 i sæsonåbneren (18/9 i Ballerup), 111-81 (3/1 i Vejlby-Risskov Hallen) og 112-74 (6/1 i Herlevhallen). • Wolfpack optræder som hjemmehold i finalen, hvilket betyder at holdet spiller i lyst, mens Bakken Bears spiller i sort? • Jonas Bille, Thorbjørn Milling og Morten Thomsen dømmer finalekampen? Førstnævnte dømmer sin sjette pokalfinale. Nøjagtig sammen konstellation fløjtede pokalfinalen i januar 2016, hvor Bakken Bears slog Horsens IC, mens Bille og Thomas dømte sammen da Bakken Bears tabte til Svendborg i 2013/14-finalen. Danmarks to bedste hold det seneste årti, Horsens IC og Bakken Bears, mødes i slutkampen. Horsens IC er forsvarende pokalvindere, mens Bakken Bears er forsvarende danske mestre. Selvom Horsens IC og Bakken Bears er de to klubber med flest pokalfinaledeltagelser, så er det blot fjerde gang holdene mødes i slutkampen. De to klubber har tilsammen vundet syv af de seneste ti pokalfinaler. Horsens IC, der vandt sidste års pokalfinale over Svendborg Rabbits, råder igen i år over profiler som de to forwards Vedran Borovcanin og Stefan Savic samt de to danske landsholdsspillere Frederik Rungby og Lasse Elbæk. Til denne sæson har HIC fået tilgang af tre virkelig stærke amerikanske spillere i form af holdets topscorer Roberto Gallinat (19,5 point pr. kamp), point guard Otis Livingston (5,2 assists pr. kamp) samt en virkelig oprydder i centeren Brandon Gilbeck (7,1 rebounds og uhørte 3,4 blocks). Eftersom Horsens har suppleret truppen med Soufi Diakite og har unge Bakir Serdarevic i rotationen, er det et rigtig bredt hold HIC stiller op med. Bakken Bears og Horsens IC har mødt hinanden to gange tidligere i denne sæson. Bears har vundet begge opgør, om end det første ikke er repræsentativt for styrkeforholdet, idet HIC manglede topscorer Gallinat.

    STANDING COMMITTEE (T-RV) EUROPEAN CONVENTION ON SPECTATOR VIOLENCE AND MISBEHAVIOUR AT SPORT EVENTS AND IN PARTICULAR AT FOOTBALL MATCHES Strasbourg, 8 December 2011 T-RV (2011) 33 FINAL European Convention on Spectator Violence and Misbehaviour at Sports Events and in particular at Football Matches (T-RV) Project on Compliance with Commitments Respect by Lithuania of the Convention Follow-Up Report by Lithuania on the recommendations of the Standing Committee following the consultative visit on 23-26 November 2009 FINAL Adopted at the 33 rd meeting of the Standing Committee T-RV (2011) 33 1. Introduction From 23 to 26 November 2009, Lithuania hosted a consultative visit of the Standing Committee on Spectator Violence of the Council of Europe in the context of the organisation of the European Men’s Basketball Championships 2011 (“the EuroBasket 2011”). This consultative visit was part of the Compliance with Commitments project of the European Convention on Spectator Violence and Misbehaviour at Sports Events and in Particular at Football Matches, which Lithuania signed in 1993 and ratified it in 2000. The EuroBasket 2011 was awarded to Lithuania by the European Basketball Federation (FIBA Europe) and was held in six cities around Lithuania from 31 August to 18 September 2011. The Lithuanian authorities were conscious of the importance of holding such a major international event successfully. The EuroBasket 2011 was also an opportunity to gain more international visibility and recognition and improve the national capacities and resources in the areas of national co- ordination, public-private partnership, policing, sports infrastructure and local hospitality facilities. The Lithuanian authorities specifically sought advice on hospitality principles, the use of public viewing areas, friendly police concepts and the prevention of hooliganism, training safety and security personnel and volunteers, transport, accommodation and information strategies.
