The NHL Alumni Tour, presented by Scotiabank, brings the heat to the Montreal’s Canadian Women’s Hockey League Team in Waterloo This annual event promises to be the best yet!

Waterloo: Friday January 21st 2011 Scotiabank brings the greatest game on ice to Waterloo, giving you opportunities to meet some of the most renowned hockey players of all time! No one should miss this unique chance to shake the hand of hockey hall of famers, and winners. This exciting and entertaining game will feature players from such hockey legend teams as Toronto Maple Leafs, Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Black Hawks and many more. They are not only here to challenge members of the Montreal’s Canadian Woman’s Hockey League Team to the on- game of their lives but to raise money for Help A Child Smile .

“We are very excited to showcase an exhibition game with heroes from the Montreal’s Canadian Woman’s Hockey League Team, Mark Napier, Executive Director, NHL Alumni. “We cherish the chance to get together as Alumni to play with old friends and promote the game of hockey across Ontario, all while raising money for a great cause.”

This entertaining game for the whole family includes an exciting skills competition, hilarious on-ice gags and some of the most highly profiled former players in the NHL. This always sold out event, which takes place on Friday January 21st 2011, at 7pm, at the, Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex at 101 Father David Bauer Drive Waterloo, ON N2J 4A8 (at the corner of Erb and Caroline Street). Help a Child Smile (www.helpachildsmile.com) is a registered charity focusing on children stricken with cancer and there families. Help A Child Smile primary focus is to support children with the suffering that cancer can put on a child’s life and future by simply offering the chance to smile, trips to Blue Jays Games, Canada’s Wonderland, Marine land as well as sending kids and there families to Disney Land in Florida reducing the pain in hospital visits and offering simple distractions such as TV’s in the child’s room.

The NHL Alumni (www.nhlalumni.net) is a non-profit organization, which serves as a liaison for 28 local alumni groups. The Association has adopted the motto of "Hockey's Greatest Family", providing programs and assistance for all retired NHL players, including career transition with the Life After Hockey Program.
