Summer has finally arrived (fingers crossed) and WHITELEY VILLAGE RACES the Village is looking green. We will be cutting the TH grass as often as possible but leaving it to grow SUNDAY 5 JUNE 2016 a little to hopefully keep it green and not a dead yellow colour like last year. The work on the high risk trees around the estate is still on-going and the piles of wood will be collected within the next month, so please be aware when walking at night across the greens.

The summer bedding plants will be arriving this month, anyone who enjoys planting is more than welcome to lend a hand!

PARKING IN THE VILLAGE ON VILLAGE FAYRE DAY SATURDAY 16TH JULY 2016

1. ONLY vehicles with a current Village registration disc, blue badge or a special “Village Fayre Whiteley Village Fayre and Permit” will be able to park in the Village on Village Fayre, Saturday 16th July.

Flower Festival 2. Cars with external blue badges, with the disabled person in the car, will be allowed into the Village but will have to park in the disabled car park. The Village is exceptional in that we have to Saturday July 16 th 12.30-4pm control even disabled parking because of the sheer numbers involved. 3. Visitors to the Care Centre will be issued with special permits, as required, through Care Centre Stall information available reception but they must be requested beforehand and must use the designated area. REST IN PEACE REST IN PEACE Sister Betty Anderson, MBE. Pat Frost 1931 – 2016 Sister Betty was a sister at Whiteley Village We are grateful to Amy Duddy for sending from 1965/6 to 1986.
